Re: My New Navy Trooper Costume
I believe the boots may be too short. Those look like they come up to just above the ankle. "Imperial Standard Issue" boots come up to mid-calf.

Re: My New Navy Trooper Costume
This is true, you want to look for 1) West German guard boots (leather movie accurate) or 2) East German jack boots (leather like) or 3) German navy boots (they have a buckel at the top on the for guys that have a big calf, they are also leather, these boots have been seen in the movie but most likely only because they didn't have any others or for the vary reason I stated at the top). Ebay has #1 and 2# and sportmans guide has the German navy boot but only have it in a size 10.5 and 11 in US. There a couple on ebay though. Hope this helps

Re: My New Navy Trooper Costume
I agree, the higher boots look much better.
And that helmet is nice! Looks really snug and custom-fit...
Congratulations!

Re: My New Navy Trooper Costume
Yes I saw this helmet in action compare to Sds replica and even I strongly think that they arent guru in props whatsoever. I always backup the custom work, however in this case, when I saw two helmets side by side...it had little strange feelings. Anyway, this helmet is too narrow and too much custom fit. Almost like cast directly from the skull size. Glory for initiative!!, I saw lots of NT custom helmets, even last time in Legoland on one of the German G. members had one but Jok's helmet should be backuped by lots of more research and even he could ask one of our members, who had the sds replica much earlier in correct size for reference...next time maybe. Anyway, everything is for fun...then for the Empire, right?

Re: My New Navy Trooper Costume
That helmet had the "cover of the neck" definitely too short. I am talking about it in Legoland. Whereas the helmet of our Polish IN has the completely different number of openings and the collar not coming off - that is isn't also appropriate. But cam down. You are tracking our forum after all - PG and you know that I already have the helmet II Mark and I will be making the new IN helmet rally calmly I am conscious of everything. When I have a free time for me I will bee start a work
