 Hi Everyone
Hi. I'm CJ, I am currently a junior in High School and I am going to begin working on an Imperial Bridge Crewman uniform to join the 501st in a year and a half when I am 18. I am hoping to be able to turn the uniform into a Tie Pilot. Just wanted to drop in and say hello, and see if anyone had any good advice for a rookie.

There's a lot of information on the IOC boards here, as well as some supplemental information over on both the Jolly Rogers Squadron (jrsforums.com) as well as the Imperial Gunners Corps (imperialgunnercorps.netfirms.com/forum) as they both share the same base costume, the black (Bridge) Imperial Crewman. The best advice would be to do a search through the forums as there's a lot of information stored in previous posts, but don't be shy to ask questions either. Good luck! Kevin

 Re: Hi Everyone
Welcome. Just let us know how we can help. First thing to do is probably check the Costume Reference Guide for the Imperial Crewman to see the CRL, if you haven't already. This will give you basics of what you need.

 Re: Hi Everyone
Welcome to the boards! It's great that you've already thought of converting your Crewman into a TIE Pilot down the road. Feel free to ask questions and enjoy.

 Re: Hi Everyone
Thanks for all the encouragement guys. I'll try to keep anyone who is interested updated with my progress. Once this blizzard stuff blows over I'll be trying to go pick up a flight suit at a military surplus. Then I'll get to work on arranging the pockets and such correctly.

 Re: Hi Everyone
Welcome aboard, Steak! There's no rule against posting your own "work in progress" thread over in the crew section, if you want. Call it your journal of sorts, and it's also a great opportunity to interact with the experienced members who can give you pointers along the way.
I see you're in Maryland -- have you gotten in touch with anyone from Old Line Garrison over there in your neck of the woods?

Yes I have, I actually contacted them first, and they pointed me this way. When you are done, this will be your detachment for your officer, but they will be your garrison. I am sure they will be just as interested if you post your progress over there as well as here.
