Good to know. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

How’s the build going with the case? I was thinking of tracking one down, but I can’t seem to find the aluminum version that you found.
I however have found a couple of the black version, but the size seems larger then what’s in the CRL. Do you know if that’s the correct size?

Which costume are you planning to make? Have you thought about Chelsea boots? They are comfortable and fairly inexpensive. You would need straight leg pants instead of riding breeches, or jodhpurs. Then I would recommend saving up for a costume pair of riding boots in the future.
Of course you can always add a zipper and stretch-panel as you stated but I would high recommend that you talk to your GML to see if they would approve it, as they would have the final say. Depending on the cost of adding a zipper and panel compared to costume boots. -
Congratulations and welcome aboard Matt!

I use Mercury Adhesives Thick Viscosity CA Glue as well as the Mercury's CA Activator for an instant bond. You can pick it up at most craft or model stores.
A good tip is to use disposable gloves like latex or Nitrile disposable gloves, so you don't glue your fingers together (I may or may not have learned the hard way).

I looked at a frame by frame on this scene in the trailer and I looks like a fairly easy build if we can get better reference photos of the costume. I did note that they are wearing snowboarding boots, but just not sure of the brand... mind you, they would be HOT on your feet. LOL

Nicely done. It truly makes the uniform complete.

Where would i find that???
There's a link located on the bottom of the costume order page which says:
https://cosplaysky.com/products/customization-fee-for-501st-order
Usually it goes to the order page, but it appears that the link is not working. You can send them an email as well.

Welcome aboard! Great choice on going with line officer. A good thing to know about CosplaySky is that their HATS and BELTS are not 501st approved, so you will need get them somewhere else. It's always a good idea to buy a few extra yards/meters of matching fabric, that way you can have a hat made.

Tim "TK-Tim" Birch, requesting an advisor in the Central Kentucky area (Lexington or Louisville) for help with an Imperial Staff Officer (Black Uniform) - https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:ID_imperial_officer_black
Greetings all, and Happy New Year!
First, a bit of history. Many years ago, I was TK-4267. About 3 years ago, I started losing weight but my waistline kept increasing. I was finally diagnosed with gastroparesis and chronic gastritis after I went from an XL shirt-size to a 3X despite losing a lot of weight. Needless to say, my TK and TD armor no longer fits, so I am now on 501st Reserve status.
I stayed on the periphery of the local group here, Lexington's Blue Sun Squad, but stopped attending events since I couldn't wear my armor. At the premiere of "The Rise of Skywalker", I attended as a handler, and realized how much I've been missing by not trooping the past 3 years. One of the very helpful Imperial Officers present (IC-90106 of the Old Line Garrison) referred me to this forum to get re-started in the 501st as an Imperial Staff Officer. (Thank you, Robert!)
I'd love to return to Active status, and I'd like to start that by acquiring an Imperial Staff Officer uniform to wear at future 501st events. I have absolutely zero sewing skills; I'm much more of a "wallet warrior" instead. Plus, as you can tell, I'll definitely need the tunic and jodhpurs custom-sewn for me until I get my surgery sometime later this year.
MANY humble thanks to all, and very best regards;
TK-4267, MidSouth Garrison - Reserve statusHi Tim!! Welcome to the IOC. If you don’t mind a neighbour from the North (Canada), I’m free to help. PM coming your way!!

Love it. I’m definitely putting this on my looks like it would be nice and warm, especially with our cold winters in Canada.

Interesting design. There's something about Black&Red that look sharp, then again I'm partial to the black uniforms.

Hi Jennifer. I'm not sure when the next run is going to be, but I think I have an extra IOC sticker. I place mine on my tote and it has held up great. I'm out of town until next week, so I'll have to check then. If you don't here from me by Tuesday PM me.
