It’s interesting what you say about Tarkin’a rank badge.

I’ve been trying to get that right for so long. It’s most certainly not made using the same tiles as used in R1 (tried that route several times!) but as you say they look bigger than regular tiles.
The spacing is really tight, much tighter than many of the other badges seen.
Do we know how broad Peter Cushing was? Part of me feels that if he was a slight man (he’s certainly thin!) then he’s wearing a regular badge but scaled down to his size.

What I’m leaning more towards though is the tiles used in ANH are of a size of which we currently have no knowledge. Some where in between the two sizes of tiles we use now.

Certainly the 901/982 series tiles are the correct size for ESB and Jedi but perhaps not technically ANH.

Oh, I meant it had more tiles!

Revisiting this post, because, after three troops, the loops are starting to come loose.

My question is, does the collar have to be a specific hook and loop type fastener? Or would a Velcro fastener be acceptable for the neck?

Mines a mix. I use hooks to hold the collar together and a strip of fabric that goes behind it with velcro.

This is actually a story from the other side! I'm actually guilty of calling the local ISB Officer in my squad Krennic at an event several months back, before I was a member. I saw the white tunic and my mind jumped to the scene of Krennic and Galen talking. However, Krennic always wore a cape, in that scene and for most of Rouge One. Both the ISB Officer and myself were quick to correct the error, but it is still a goof that sticks with me. I will need to memorize officers more!

Yeah... I'm one of those people. Haven't called an officer a Stormtrooper though, so at least I have that going for me!

Once I have some troops under my belt, I'll likely have some tales to tell in this thread.

    Believe me you will!

  4. Do we have a WIP for the officer in BF2? I really love the ATAT commander but I rather stay in IOC. The battlefront 2 officer isn't the same as ATAT commander. It doesn't have a back plate and the holster is different. Can we make this an IOC CRL if someone started developing it. Thanks!

A few notes on this image.

-In game the officer does not use an e11

-tunic is a bit lighter here, they wear the line officer uniform in game.

-Rank bar in game does not have those four white buttons.

Hi everyone!  I'm new to this forum, working on ROTS Vader over on the SLD forum (completion expected in November), and submitting in a few weeks for Imperial Bridge Crew (ANH) through the California Imperial Sands Garrison.

I'm curious about how rank works with generic bridge crew. Are they basically "enlisted" or are they officers? I can't find details.  I suspect I'll just be calling everyone Sir or Maa'm...

    Thanks!

    Dave

If you're referring to the people in jumpsuits they don't wear a rank bar.

Im doing the whole kit, yes.   I'll need boots and blaster essentially.   BYOB&B.

Do you happen to know where I can order proper boots for a FO Officer?

Magnoli makes them as well, however, they are very expensive. Unless, you already purchased from mazcave or you really want to do FO officer, I would do OT first, its much more beginner friendly to make and more friendly on your wallet. :)

    Hello there,

I'm working on my "first of my first" ensemble of a First Order Flag Officer, and am waiting a few more days till ImperialBoots.com opens up a run, and wanted advice since boots are always and important part of many CRLs.   https://www.imperialboots.com/product/officer-boots/  < link for sauce.

I'm going through a tailor for the uniform bits, but boots and the sidearm will be separate.

    1) Does anyone know if the boots for a First Order flag officer is also interchangeable with the Imperial officers from OT?  From what I can tell from CRLs, it looks ok, but I'm not sure if anyone has seen otherwise or has better advice.

    2) I see a ton of stuff on Etsy regarding 3D printed SW arms. Appearances wise they look good.  Are they a good option / choice?

I don't want to reinvent the wheel and this forum came highly recommended for information. :)

I plan on an OT Imperial Officer being my next one.......... <i'm quickly learning that this is very much a ".....there can never be just one" hobby>

    Thank you  for your time.

Welcome! The boots of the FO are different from OT boots. So you would need a new pair boots for the OT build. Are you having a uniform custom made?

Now that I am officially a member of the 501st and have started trooping, how to I have my member profile updated on the main 501st website, with my costume picture? Does that go through my local garrison?

Hey Marc, fellow FLG member here! Command staff usually uploads the photo to the main website, it takes a while. Mine still isn't uploaded, it's not a big deal!
