I am working on converting a SIG MCX airsoft gun into a repeating blaster in the vein of the SE-14r Repeating Blaster.

Correction. The airsoft gun in question is the Sig MPX, not MCX.

Custom piece, in the feel of a repeating blaster like the SE-14r. Want that short, pugnacious look.

Hi Adam,
Depends on your budget and where you are in the world (international shipping can be a pain in the butt). I got my boots from another member, who got them from AntiguaHouse on Etsy. (Don’t let the name fool you: this ain’t stuff for your beach party.) They’re based in Ukraine, by the way.
Here’s the link:

A word of warning about these boots: they’re not the most comfortable. I had to get insoles and wear thick socks with them (otherwise, it feels like you’re trudging through Siberian permafrost year-round)!
Can confirm that these are good boots, having a pair myself. Had a local shoe shop give them a little stretch, shine, and new insoles. They are now comfortable for those long troops.

I have been seeing on Instagram little short videos for joining the Empire and was wanting to do my own. I would like to know who to send the final cut to so it can be posted.
Thank you in advance

My reasons for joining the 501st started off simple, as I have friends in Phoenix who are members, and I enjoy costuming. I have been working on three different costumes, a Jedi for RL, Mandalorian pilot for MMCC, and my Staff Officer for 501st. In 2019 I moved to Colorado to take a new job, this meant leaving all of my friends , family, and fellow volunteers behind. I wanted to get out more (as I am quite introverted) and meet new people that I have shared interests with, the fact that I am able to help others through our work for charity is an added bonus.
I have never been the outgoing type in my personal life, but when I put on a costume, I get to be someone else for a while. I become much more outgoing and approachable. I am looking forward to making new friends and having a great time with everyone.

A friend of mine in Phoenix, who isn't a 501st member, decided to help the cause using one of my application pictures.

Attached is a link to a funny TK safety brief, especially if you have served in the military or are family of someone who has.

Favorite non Star Wars movie...either Princess Mononoke or Yojimbo.

I have received most of the parts that go on the uniform for my ANH officer and would appreciate some feedback. Pictures are attached.
Belt (does have a slight curve, didn't show well in picture)
Code Cylinders (actual Soviet bloc surplus dosimeters, readouts in Russian)
Rank placard and belt with shop name (Rank placard is aluminum with magnetic attachment on back)
Thank you all in advance.

I have a pair ordered from Antigua House on Etsy for my ANH Officer. They have good prices as well, though as the boots are surplus, finding your size can be a bit of a waiting game for them to come in.

Thank you. I will most likely go for Level 3 certification at some point. Need to get an approvable costume up and running and then gradually work my way up.

AntiguaHouse is a popular budget option for officers.
Especially seeing how new equestrian boots near me are around 300 dollars. A little too steep for my blood at the moment.

They didn't look like they did in the listing, but I will double check once they arrive. Hopefully that is relatively soon as they shipped yesterday.
Thank you again.

Found a pair of old Soviet boots that might work, but would like input first.
Thank you.

Also just interested in how many of us here are first responders or military.

Question on operation of IOC/501st Legion,
In addition to my Imperial Officer outfit that is in the works, I also have a (just shy of approvable) Jedi and a Mandalorian Pilot. In the MMCC, local clan (garrison) officers are denoted by different colored rank ropes (aiguilettes). There are also special solid color ones that denote military or first responder (police/fire/medical) service as well as a pinned post on the forum as a meetup spot of sorts. I was wondering if the IOC or 501st do something like that.
Thank you all in advance.

George Lucas didn't have a great grasp on military ranking structure when he designed the outfit looks. Although, in his defense, he was going for something the general audience watching (not necessarily us super fans or military veterans) would recognize even at a glance as a military officer.
Oversight by the creator, most likely.
