I'm glad some Bitish folks chimed in on this I think you guys summed it up nicely.
I was going to say something to the effect that even though we see several officers speaking in clearly "British" accents, they are still speaking in an "acting accent", meaning, they carefully pronounce each word without too much accent that somebody unfamiliar with certain words can clearly follow. Its kind of like singing. You'd never know Bruce Dickinson has an accent until he speaks in his normal voice.
I often try to mimic Piett. He's a good example since he had lots of lines.
Remember, there were officers with "American" accents too. Jir, being the one that sticks out the most to me. He sounds more like a radio DJ, or Sports Caster when he speaks, than a military officer. He's a good example of the "acting" accent.
There were also Motti, Praji, The "We've got a bad transmitter" guy, The "Where are you taking this thing" guy, and pretty much every officer in ROTJ except Piett.

I found a very good silver lace in a small WW reenactment shop in Germany and bought the few remaining metres. On the belt there are two sewn next to each other with a small gap between them (when looking at the pictures it’s a bit more than one cm leather -one cm lace - a small gap - one cm lace - a bit morexthsn one cm leather.
On the hat it’s just one line of lace.
Jayhold is slowly coming to life.

    Hi!

I got mine with PhiloProps, they're 3D printed and covered with brass. They're small because they're from my size.

My previous ones where golden acrylic, it also works but they weren't thick enough so I changed them.

english: I think any kind of braid (Dutch braid for example) should work as well, as long as it looks neat and tidy and not too messy. Even braid styles like Leia‘s Hoth or Endor hairstyle should work. A mignon style is always a safe option imo.

Kalani,  is it possible to allow the correct shade of grey as a level two or three requirement? I worked in print production and to get corporate logos exactly correct we always deferred to the Pantone color chart. Pantone colors are available for fabric swatches, (at any fabric store, even Wal-Mart.) Just for the sake of argument, say we agreed the color is light grey and this acceptable for  level two or level three approval. Couldn't we help folks out by tracking down the proper Pantone number for them? We could use light grey as the starting point and go from there. (My source from the show also confirmed the color they used is light gray.)

The only reason I'm digging my heels in on this one is the issue of screen accuracy. If we pride ourselves on getting the details right, white is white and grey is grey. ISB officers come in different colors now. But, the Andor ones we are trying to write the CRL for now are not white. It's just not accurate to say they are. As costumers, I think we're all slightly obsessive about details. If we want people to use the correct shade of grey, tell them the exact numerical shade to use. It takes the guesswork out for the costumers and the GMLs.

When I mentioned them in the “Army Trooper-Andor” sub-forum over on SpecOps, the reaction was “They’re ISB, so they’ll be IOC.”
When I first saw them, I thought they were Warrant Officers, but then I realized the tunics were different.
I’m just waiting to get a better look at them, and see how much of the Andor Trooper crl can be carried over.

    [/END OF MODERATOR NOTE]

This the official guide to illustrate all canon officer ranks recognized by the IOC. It is compiled with reference from the original movies, and official EU sources. It is created from a costuming point of view, and not meant to explain every rank's importance or how they differ from movie to movie (that's what fan fiction is for). It is just a simple chart that shows what rank officially goes on what costume. Code cylinders are intentionally excluded, and can be referenced in the CRLs.

Note Rogue one/Solo ranks are only compatible with Rogue one uniform style
