Yes, I agree much of these 8 pages aren't overly constructive to the subject, & I don't think there's really much more to discuss here.
I'd prefer to not have to lock this thread so lets all be patient & please keep the tone light, and positive.  Thanks!

Very cool but still wondering if this artist is going to provide any LFL officially approved comic/novel/cartoon/trading card/magazine/role-playing game/ect image of whats needed for a complete CRL. If not, at least it'll be a great convention thing to do.

I just contacted him, (Darren tan) and I asked him and showed him the sketch, he said everything looks good.
    I´ll qoute the conversation here:
    me:
Hi! I am contacting you because I'm trying to create a CRL of Ar'alani for the 501st, I've able to sketch how her uniform looks approximately based on your amazing illustration, but of course they are asking me for a side and back view and since you created the image I wanted to ask you if you have a reference for that? If not, I was wondering if you could help me with that?   Thanks for your time, and amazing art.   Artist: Hi Lucia. Thanks for reaching out. I haven’t thought of what the back of Ar’alani’s uniform looks like but I would think that it’s similar to an Imperial officer’s uniform with the addition of the shoulder strap.   Me: That's what I thought! I will communicate your answer in case they ask me again... Is a bit of paperwork creating the Costume ID, but it will be worth it. I'll keep you informed if you wish.   That´s the sketch that I created for now, If anything jumps tell me.   Artist: Yup looks leggit.
if it's required I can show the original messages.

Perhaps it would be advisable to get basic approval first, then seek Level 2 & three clearance with this specific character. There are only so many (and will forever be so many) named CRLs in the IOC, since so many background characters share the same uniform.

There is a Grand General Rank which is basically the Imperial equivalent.
It can also be noted that very high positions can take priority over actual rank, i.e. the address of Director in lieu of Admiral.

The names were arbitrarily decided upon years ago, out of sheer necessity and lack of official canon titles or descriptions. It has gently come up a small handful of times over the years, questioning if they need to be changed, and usually, in the end, not many people really seem to care for such change to happen. So here we are. Line & Staff postilions, as far as the US military defines them can be seen as Line Officers; officers trained to be in command, like Admirals in charge of Navies, fleets and armadas, Star Destroyer Captains, their XOs, and a few others lower down that chain who are in training to take that role one day.  Staff Officers are military officers who've earned officer ranks, but may not always hold a true position of command or higher leadership authority due to their job, in example: doctors, lawyers, chaplains, protocol, personnel, logistics, maintenance, munitions, ect. Since newer canon (Rogue One & Solo) have appeared, official sources have done a fairly good job trying to retcon or somewhat explain the differences, not into separate positions, but more into distinct service branches. I.e. The olive uniforms represent the regular Imperial military's army, navy, and operations (for some reason operations is different than the army...I dunno why) branches, while the black (even including the navy troopers) uniforms are considered Security Forces & Stormtrooper Corps. I think this is not only generally a pretty good way to look at them, functionally, but is more in line with John Mollo's original plan that the black uniformed guys were Vader's men and everything else (excluding the ISB, of course) was basically the regular imperial military. I'm still fuzzy on why a naval captain was reduced to being a recruiting officer on Corellia, but hey, nothing is perfect. lol.

I was always under the impression that line officers made up the command structure. They lead troops in the field and higher ranking line officers made command decisions. Staff officers were "aides" to the higher ranking line officers and helped to staff and run command centers and headquarter positions thus the name staff officer.

The jumpsuit collars do have a subtle upward point in th back of the neck. This "should" still be in the CRL if you look at the higher levels.
And of course, we have known for a long while that lighting and film quality have played havok with how we percieve these colors for many years. The crew hats are the same color as the officer uniforms.
