Well, from the VD it seems, that in FO there seems to be different designs for different rank "ranges" (Lieutenant+Captain ; Major+Colonel ; General + Admiral). I'm starting this topic up, with the thought to gather as many pictures (especially detailed ones) and conduct discussion about the navy blue uniforms (which seem to have completely different design that the other ones, and be worn by the senior, but not flag officers). Colonel Datoo had one of them on him, if I remember correctly.
In case you still don't know which uniform am I talking about, here you have a pic od Datoo wearing it:
Am I the only one who notices, the resemblance to the old Imperial officer uniform design? With the flap, and everything? Only the collar and upper part of the front flap are somewhat changed. Don't you think?
Anyone has more/better pictures?
I did not notice in the film that this officer has a black and white cuff title like the SS did in World War II, naming feared divisions such as Das Reich and Wiking. I find this both disturbing and cool to see the same thing in Aubresh?!

We got a deal with a local theater, we are trooping 4 days, tomorrow through Sunday, plus we have Stephan Constantino (Gamorean Guard from ROTJ) signing at our table that whole time to support the event! By Sunday I will be at 50 troops, all IOC, all the time baby! AWAKEN!!!

Yes, John Mollo based the line officer tunic on This British Royal Flying Corps "Maternity Tunic" in use from WWI to late 1930's. He wanted to take epaulets and buttons off the original WWI tunics but the costume shop in England said no way!

This is awesome, thanks for posting this guys!

Dryclean and press cosplaysky officer uniforms. I do me olive every 3-4 troops, black seems to show dirt and salt stains more quickly, I have it cleaned and pressed nearly after every troop, especially in summer.

Can this new battlefront be played in campaign mode, or do you have to be on xbox live or online to play? Best part of original battlefront was galactic conquest in my opinion.

Can't wait to see it mate!

It suits you! (pun intended)

Dang those hats are goofy. I think they are trying to evoke Russian Civil War style era hats, like Kat said, they should be fur lined. Not my style, unfortunately. The Glock 17 based blaster is pretty cool though.

Awesome pics! Keep up the good work, Tarkins!

Welcome to the Legion and the IOC, Sir!

Wampa Wear suits now have pointed collar and provide measurements for their different sizes, which I found useful. The material is a heavier weight twill than the FAC, which is more durable but also hotter to wear. I have owned both suits and prefer the wampa.

I love ANH for the variety of uniforms and rank bars. I do Captain Khurgee and Chief Bast for that reason, though I also have ESB rank bars for Captain/Commander and General.

I would also insure you can get the proper fit. Surplus soviet boots run small and narrow, and most i've seen the calf max out at 16 inches. If you have exceptionally large or wide feet or calves, these will not fit. If you have Joe Normal size feet and legs, you will probably be okay. Good luck!

Here are some of my Non-Officer Costumes. Please feel free to post your own! I have been costuming my whole life, starting with Ren Faire and Halloweens as a kid and moving on to Civil War, Napoleonic, Pirate, WWII, and Vietnam reenacting, Starfleet, 501st, and fan cosplaying at conventions.
Here is my Imperial Gunner at my last troop for SW Reads Day.
Here is my German Mercenary persona Ulrich Mauer, Sergeant of Pike, Renaissance era 1536
British Navy Gunner, 1799 in the Caribbean
British Paratrooper in Operation Market Garden 1944
Long Range Desert Group, Tunisia 1942
Henry Fitzroy, House of Tudor

Hey all. I'm just about done filling out orders for the Staff Officer (all in 48 hours too!), and I couldn't help but attempt to design a Twi'lek smuggler OC. I'm not sure where else to post asking for critique/suggestions other than here. Would that be acceptable?
If you are developing this costume, feel free to show us pics! I'd love to see your Twi'lek!

I'd like to open this thread up a bit! Let's use this space for posting pictures of any costuming you are proud of, including non SW stuff! Bring in your superheroes, pirates, Ren faire, convention photos! This is the Officer's Lounge, have fun!

Looks good! After pressing and stiffening the leg flares, it should look pretty good. How does the hunt for boots go?

Sounds good! Let us know when you get your uniform in and take pics!

Cuff flaps are standard on TI jumpsuits for sure, and you can seem them on ESB on non glove wearing crewmen in the pits on the star destroyer bridge shots.

Here is a tutorial for a headset here: http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/4725-build-your-own-crew-headset-for-under-ten-bucks/
Yeah, Capt beat me to it, here's my interpretation. I used foam for the mouth piece but others have used small aluminum tubes, like off a pen. Good luck!

This has been an issue with Cosplaysky recently. Send them an email detailing the problem and show this picture. They should make you a new tunic or have you go to a tailor and they will pick up the costs. Be polite but firm with them and tell them this is for 501st. They used to be very attentive to our needs but based on the number of complaints and ignoring or messing up people's measurements lately, I think their quality has gone down in the last couple months. As long as they are still good in the customer service realm I still recommend them, but if that starts to slip, we're really going to have to explore new vendors.
