We've never governed the height of code cylinders in a CRL.  No need to start now.

They're standard OT dosimeter style with standard brass (-ish) clips.

Worry about getting chewed out by your commanding officer, perhaps, but it's there, in-universe, as far as that's concerned LOL

And yes, walking around a troop with a cup of caf is a joy.

As a UKG armourer we will approve any costume that meets the CRL but builder's will need to sign on to the UKG forum and start a build thread.

Those look like good gloves, especially if that have the correct notch.  Everything else is fine.

Note that altering gloves may be expensive... you might have better luck buying gloves that fit you better in the first place but it's up to you.

The gloves actually used on the productions are Dents Skyfall gloves:

UKG is a bit unique in how they work, different to the rest of the Legion.  Your best bet is to contact the Garrison and get assigned to a UKG armorer who can advise you.

I was waiting for the vambraces to be designed from the cham, but I am impatient so started doing a heavy mod on the do3d vambraces

Here are theirs (I didn't photo them before modding).

    Mods

There aren't any bands on the inside forearm, so i sanded them down.
The geometry of the raised sections was off, so I send them down
I filled in the spaces with epoxy putty and will make them smooth.

Also there were some pieces missing, so I modeled the trapezoidal flame thrower vent, and the side greeblie raised sections, and added those. And the tubing on the sides needs to be extended.

    And now I wait.

I figure that once this is all done cham will have finished the vambraces making all my work moot... but it gives me something to do and nudges the universe to manifest things sometimes. Hah!

kman got a reaction from DarkG in How do you choose rank insignia?
I have a collection that spans MANY ranks, both OT and non-saga.  I don't have pictures of all my OT ranks handy, but here is a taste LOL:

    Non-Saga:

    OT:

But I tend to agree with the "realistic age for the rank" theory.  A 20-year old is welcome to portray a top general if they really want to, but to my eye, if you appear too young, and those top tiers ranks seem a little off.  Similarly the bottom level ranks seem a little incongruous on someone in their 50s-60s, although it's certainly easier to rationalize. ("I got busted down for sleeping with the wrong general's wife" can be a great backstory LOL)

Sadly, no room for display of a full size costume.  Even if I did, though, I would have the same concern expressed above: Guaranteed to have issues with dust unless it's in a hermetically sealed cabinet.  And if sunlight ever hits it, fading is going to be an issue.

I store my tunics and trousers in black suit bags that I ironed on an HTV cog, so I can readily grab the right one in a dim closet.

For the small bits, I have small cases similar to what is shown in the video posted above.  (tho not the belt)

Except my belt, which I roll up and keep inside my boots in my boot bag.  Blaster and gloves go in the boot bag, too.

I've been considering picking up a small glove case just for my gloves, since I have several pairs now.  They make them for golfing gloves.

Oh, and hats: Hats go in a hat box for storage, to keep them crisp and dust-free.  JoAnn Fabrics sells these little boxes for a pretty reasonable price (especially on sale), so I have several.  They come in awful flowered prints, but that's nothing that a quick coat of paint can't fix, and then a sheet of plastic can be glued on top to be Imperialed up, too.

Wood painted black is... black.  There are other CRLs with similar wording, and I have not seen an issue with it, to date.

I'm not worried about it, but GMLs are always welcome to ask us for clarification, if they're confused.

That holster is simply a left hand version of the standard ANH-style MSP5 holster, but in black leather instead of brown.  It's unusual to have a true left hand version, though... I almost wonder if that shot was mirrored?  I'd have to look at the scene again.
