The curious case of Colonel Yularen.  First named in 1995 for the card game.  The card game decided that the white uniforms were ISB, an organization first named in the West End Games Imperial Sourcebook.

This guy was never meant to have a name with a simpler costume than Tarkin, Tagge or Motti, he was meant to be seen from the background.  The style of uniforms were intended to be of an Imperial "air force" variety that Motti would wear, but the actor couldn't  fit into it.

Fast forward to 2008 when Dave Filoni decides to use the character in the Clone Wars animation.  He briefly thought this was a Grand Admiral and decided to have Anikan's personal admiral to be this guy.  Until Filoni realized too late that he would later be a colonel.  Oh well, Filoni said he would make it work... and he did.

Pryce was a stellar villain, I loved her throughout the series and through reading Thrawn. It's a shame she'd "served her purpose" I guess but she was a brilliant character. <3 She remains on the "to do" costume list.

Also worth remembering: Alliance is due to be set, I think, between series 3 and series 4. So we're not going to be given any information regards what happened after the jump.

Tagging in @Angelus who made several of the green ponchos, I don't suppose you could give any pointers on water sheeting fabrics here?
I guess the trick, as with everything line officer, is matching those shades of green/olive/feldgrau. :S

However the CRL does state that the ponchos would need to be black, on either uniform colour.

A few were made back in the day when green was permitted for line officers, they looked great too! So there is def the fabric available out there for a noncanon green one, Angelus made those ponchos in particular so nudged for a tip for fabric.

Yeah I know... I was thinking about getting a black one to satisfy the CRL then getting a feldgrau just for cons or non 501st wear. My tailor and I are just having issues finding the right shade of feldgrau in water shedding polyester...so if someone knows of some please post.

I have been thinking of doing a weekly post on the lore of different officers from the Star Wars saga.  Officers from the Republic, the Empire, the First Order and all the nooks and crannies of all the 40 years of material out there: the movies, but also the comic books, video games, novels, role playing games... you name it.  The history is rich and Lucasfilm does do a pretty good job of curating it all.  

I don't know if this is the best place to post it, but that is ok, it can be moved later.  So feel free to post what you want, add to these or comment on any of these kinds of posts.  You don't have to follow my format.  I plan on putting in the era, the service, rank and name of the characters in the title or a description of the lore if it is more general.  I have met so many people that have been fans of Star Wars for years who say "I had no idea that existed"  I can't begin to tell you the times I have shoved material into the hands of people saying "This is right up your alley".  I hope to give back here by doing this.
 
 

I'm with Morti, I was left with mixed emotions after the credits. On the plus side: My favorite blue boy is still unbeaten (Deus Ex Machinas don't count), we saw Navy Troopers, the return of some other Thrawn related stuff life the Dreadnaughts and a special captain. I also really liked what they did with Rex and Pryce in particular. I also think like Robert wrote that my first guess got confirmed and the new series will play between ROTJ and TFA.
 
But before I build a final opinion on some other things I've to rewatch the finale.

I'm for it. Marvel-Disney has made very few missteps, even their 'bad' films are still enjoyable and rewatchable, and retain substance while reaching a broad audience. There's never really any significant "taking my toys and going home" responses to it. They need to take a long look at the MCU and apply what has worked so well to the Star Wars universe, and this could be a solid first step towards doing so.

A lot of mixed feelings from me. I've been a big fan of the series, admittedly haven't followed it from the beginning. Came in a little late. XD But.. yeah it felt a little bit "...oh, okay" for me.
Excited to see what the future holds though, now that this is tied up reasonably neatly.

I'm also throwing support behind the trenchcoat idea if that is something you'd be interested in.  Would like to see more of them out and about!

Thank you Dave. My girl went out with her boots on. Duty Honor Empire. So sad but so happy she died a great death with her men. I was a puddle last night. Killed 2 tissue boxes. 

I really, really want to see Sabine's adventures post-finale.

Spoiler-ish? maybe?

If we don't see their adventures on the hunt for Ezra in another animated series, Sabine or you-know-who would be a great second POV character for a Thrawn book, as Pryce was to the first one.
