No problem! I'm ALMOST done!
I was so heartbroken when my boots were too tall, I took them to a few cobblers and was turned away, I called every other cobbler in town and none of them would alter the boots, so I decided I had to do it myself. I know it seems intimating, because it was to me, so I wanted to make sure everyone else knows it's do-able!Well you did an awesome job and this tread is going to help other for sure.

I press mine at home and use the steam setting, no military creases just the standard pressing. I also use a good boot polish and and leather care for the leather belt as well before my troop.

Sorry, I missed the last part of your question...
If you end up buying belt boxes then buy them in pairs and you would wear them in 2s. ie: Crew member 2 belt boxes (one on each side), or a Warrant Officer can wear 2 or 4 (one or two on each side).

It's something that you can add later to your uniform/costume and not required for basic approval, if you're looking to obtain your number right away. It also depends on the look you want, as some members love them and others can do without. If you are planning to make another costume later on I would recommend checking the CRL to see if it requires belt boxes. It might be a great investment. Just note that there is a difference in size when it comes to R1 (Rogue one) vs OT (Original Trilogy) belt boxes.
Let us know if we can help with in anything else.

I wounder if the holiday season had anything to do with shipping times. Hopefully you’ll have them soon.

I would say black trousers. In comics black is hard to see as most artist use different degrees of grey and blues to achieve the look of black. If not, it would look to high of contrast and the style of the comic would change to a two tone book. The same goes for whites and light colours.
Honestly it looks great with some slight changes.

I used e6000 on mine, easy to clean (peal) the excess off as well as you can still take it apart later on if need be. Just make sure to let it dry the full 24hrs.
e6000 is one of those things are great to have around when it comes to costumes and building... that and CA glue.

I used a couple of rare earth magnets, which I attached to a metal bar that goes on the inside of my tunic. Then I glued a a flat metal bar to the back of the rank plate. It never moves after I put it on. Actually I have a hard time taking it off.
I did buy stronger magnets then needed for the weight of the rank bar.
hopefully that helps.

Double check that they line up properly. I had to adjust mine when I first got it. Now it's really easy. I usually hook the bottom one in first and then the top. I did add a medium-heavy interfacing to the inside of my collar to help hold it's shape as well as extended my modesty collar as well.
I do like the idea of adding the snap...I might have to try that one day.

Those swatches are really cool. Great find Joey.
now do we think Supreme Lead Snoke is a bee keeper? Are they trying to tell us something... hum... like the FO is a hive and he’s the Queen bee?!? Hum...lol.
Design wise it’s kind of rad!!
