Wow! I'm very impressed, that was really quick. You all are awesome!

I am going to make myself some belt boxes. I was first going to make a pattern and then transfer it to my aluminum sheet.
I was hoping to do a bridge crew costume since I have everything except belt boxes. I'd like to later do either a warrant officer or staff officer.
The CRLs say the belt box is 2 1/2"x3 1/2"x1" for bridge crew and staff officer.
But for warrant officer it says 2 1/2"x4 1/2"x1". Is this a typo or are the warrant officers suppose to have larger boxes? I would think they should all be the same size.

Very nice job!

I've heard they typically run a bit small. It's recommended going one size up.
Thank you Sir!

Do their riding boots run big, small or true to size?

If you build one, make sure you do a build thread. We would love to see it. The only ones I have seen are made of wood and probably weigh a ton. We need something light enough to carry around
Just a idea on this, I actually got the idea today. I saw a large plastic box at TSC today that would be about the correct size. Then glue panels on it made out of plexiglass or something. Then paint. It would be light weight and quite useable.

To be honest I never noticed the officer in grey. I'm sure my attention was always focused on Han, Luke and Chewy. But if we can clearly see a officer in a grey uniform, then in my opinion we need a CRL for such a costume.

Not approved unless you're doing a Governor Pryce from Rebels.
Used to be approvable but as more research was done, it was realized that gray wasn't correct.
It is for the one character from the new cartoon though.
Thank sir for confirming my suspicions!

I know about all the carried colors for officer uniform, but I'm seeing a grey officer uniform. I can't find that color in the CRLs and I don't recall seeing grey in the movies. So is grey a approvable color and if so, which officers wear grey??

Smart move. How does it work exactly? Did it stiffen the material? Does the bottle indicate what materials it can be used on?
No it didn't stiffen the leather. I'm not sure how it worked, I just know that it does. You just spray it on the inside and wear the boots for a while. They stretch while your walking around. I wore my boots for a couple hours or so around the house.
Supposedly it will work on leather, suede, canvas and linens.

Thanks for Sharing this, I was curious about such products.
I was actually surprised at how well it worked for me. I figured it would be "snake oil". But I figured for less than ten bucks, I'd give it a shot. I really like the boots I have and I needed to do something to make them comfortable to wear. I thought giving this a try before going to a cobbler. But it worked out great!

I just wanted to share with everyone a product I found.
I have a pair of real German knobelbeckers and the calves were uncomfortably snug, even with the adjustment strap completely unhooked.
The top of the foot was a little snug too. I found this shoe stretching spray on Amazon that had really good reviews. So I tried it.
You simply spray it on in the inside of the boot and wear the boots. I walked around the house for a couple hours and low a behold they were stretched out to to a very comfortable size. I couldn't buckle up the strap before and now I could get two holes. I'm going to do it again tomorrow with heavier socks to stretch them a bit more.
I will post a picture of the product I got on Amazon below. It was like $9 and something if your wondering the price.

It's hard to tell really from the picture and I may be seeing it wrong, but those boots don't look to be quite tall enough to me.
Before I tried to modify these boots, I would ask your local garrison about doing the modifications and if those would make these approvable before I went any further.

Something you might try, assuming the boots your trying are the same size as you normally wear.
Dust the inside of the boots with foot powder. It makes them much easier to slide your foot inside.

I have a pair from Wampa Wear. I wear a size 9 and that's the size of these gloves. They fit very nicely.
Leather gloves should be slightly snug when they are new. They will "break in" or stretch a little with wear.

Oh, if you look on the eBay link you posted, scroll down. Look at the section at the bottom "more like this". There's a pair of deer skin leather gloves for $32 that would fit the bill. Not to mention that deer skin would be softer than cow hide.
-
I'm not sure if you saw it or not, but these gloves your asking about in this eBay posting are a size 6. That's fairly small. I don't know your glove size, but I'm betting it's larger than a size 6.
Not to mention these are terribly expensive.

What do you do to keep your hat from becoming deformed from washing or is this anything I need to be concerned with? Or do you simply need to iron it after washing?

I didn't realize there was a official CRL for R1 yet. Where is it posted? It's not on the CRL page with the rest of them.
