Here's the Sail Barge event: https://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=249&t=111871
The aim is of course to find something close to the ExCel center. But we won't post any location until it's absolutely confirmed.
If people are so interested in attending this, but missed out on a ticket, please ensure that you join the wait list.

Ermmm..... Has anyone registered what time the meet up is meant to be happening?
I believe that is currently being listed as 5pm. Although in the UK we will be in BST, (one hour on from GMT) sun set will be 17.51pm. This will make the sun incredibly low in the sky.

Welcome to the IOC.

Hi,
Unfortunately for a good reproduction of the flightsuit for Admiral Daala, you will be hard pushed to find somewhere that sells it, ready made.
There are so many differences, in particular the colour and piping on the suit are difficult to source.
The belts and additional items, many people have made from scratch.
Sorry, Daala isn't really an off the peg costume. (I'll probably be criticised for my personal view.)

They can get a little better if you scuff them on paving/tarmac a little. Just enough to roughen up the sole.
But yes, they can be entertaining on tiled floors.

In regards to the difference in the tunic, the ANH neckline/collar closes on the right of the wearer. This is completely different to Staff Officer which closes at the centre.

Still working as normal, just from home. My work building was closed by the boss, the week before the UK went into lockdown, so that we could get all home working environments worked out and good, before the rest of the country went into lockdown. This Friday (tomorrow) will be week 8 of lockdown, however the UK has just entered apparently the first stage of returning to 'normal' life. As of yesterday Garden Centres were reopened.
Still working from home, schools are not really expecting to return to normal service until the new school year in September, although they may start returning certain years of students at the beginning of June. Who knows....

I've not got a wampawear belt, but what I have done is stuck the fuzzy side of a roll of large velcro to the inside of the belt, this has stopped any dye transfer on to my Krennic tunic

Lining the back of the belt with Velcro has also made it that the rougher side of the leather belt, does not ‘pil’ the fabric of the tunic.

Having trooped several times outside of my home Garrison, I can assure you it's definitely possible and invariably you'll be welcomed. (I've also trooped as RL outside of the UK and had exactly the same, good experience.) If you know that you're planning on visiting a location with enough time beforehand, I would suggest signing up to the garrison forum for the area that you plan to visit. There, you'll be given visiting trooper (or similar) status and will be able to view their troops.
Generally you sign up with them in the same way as you would you're home garrison, if in doubt how they list their signup, reach out in their Introductions forum.
Then generally what happens if you'll let your home garrison know that you've signed up for a visiting troop and it'll be added to your service. It's great fun and a brilliant way to get to know people.
We're all generally a friendly bunch anyway.
