Ponchos aren't an option for Line Officers.
Coats are good to go though!
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I saw the poncho as an option on the CRL: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:ID_imperial_officer
Would it still be viable? Not for submission, but just for wearing? Thanks.

Hello everyone. I've been working on a line officer, but was looking to add something to it, and I thought it would be easy and interesting to add a Rain Pancho, or Trenchcoat. But, I'm unsure where I could find an accurate version, or if I could somehow make one myself. (The prices for a lot of them seem a bit high for me.)
Any advice? More pictures? Thanks!

I have also found an officer in the visual dictionary, identified as Xodell. Hope this may help.
Source here: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Xodell
(He also has a second in command, Major Staz. He has the same uniform, but it is black, with more stitching and such. https://i.imgur.com/ZHV45jJ.png
EDIT: I now understand that this IS NOT a viable reference. Sorry for the confusion on the ranks as well, I was also unsure, because of a mix-up of reference)

Very interesting research. Good job noticing these details, I hope they are added.

Hey, everyone. I am making my own belt for an Imperial line officer, but I could not find specific dimensions for the snap (The one on the left on the belt, to the wearer.) I was wondering if anyone could tell me dimensions of it. Thanks for the help.

So I was wondering if I could build my own belt boxes. I figured it would be cheaper, but I have no idea where to start, Thanks for the help!

Nevermind, read the post totally wrong.

On a CRL I read that: There is a covering on the back of each box with a slightly overlapping lip that is approximately 1/4” (6.35 mm).

Depends which version you are doing, especially if you want to achieve L2 or L3, have a look at some of my approved submissions in the Executor section, you'll notice depending on which officer I applied for how the position of the bar changed slightly. You can also look at screen shots of officers to see the positions.

1Thanks. Helps a ton!

Hey, guys. I have ordered a rank bar that pins directly into the costume. I was wondering if there was a specific place is should be placed. (I know, of course, in general where it should be, but I want to clarify before putting holes in the fabric.) Thank you!

Fair enough. I don't know if PhiloProps is in your budget? You can find him on the forums or on Etsy
Yup! Thanks for the help. I saw that, but I wasn't to keen if it was good. Thanks again!

Have you considered making your own? There's a really great tutorial on how to make realistic style code cylinders, and if you have the tools to make it, it can be very cheap. The chalk holders are very cheap. That's what I did because I was spending too much on my costume
I also bought these reproduction dosimeter clips to make the code cylinders look really good
Thanks! I tried, but I can't seem to get it just right. I'm kinda a perfectionist. I have made some, but am looking for a more accurate replacement.

Hey, guys. I am looking for some code cylinders for my costume, but I want to buy some code cylinders on the cheap. Most I find are more expensive than my costume itself! I am shooting for the highest possible approval, so I would like some pretty accurate ones. Thanks!

You can wear belt boxes without the lids, however, for level two certification, you probably should have lids on them.

I have him as a friend on Facebook, I believe he's on holiday at the moment. A break in this hobby how dare he? Remember most of the props vendors are doing this in the spare time, patience.
Ah. That makes more sense.

Which greeblie did you order? I have a spare hat disk or two laying around (from him) I could sell you if that's what you need, and if that's holding you up from submitting your uniform.
I'd then buy back the one from elvistrooper when you get it.
Just putting that out there.
But he will absolutely come through with the goods, of that I we are all sure.
3Thanks for the awesome offer, but I am just looking for a standard greeblie for my belt. Thanks again, though.

AND...once you buff out the scratches, use a spray sealer to seal it, then it will resist damage and wear!
That's a good idea! Thanks!

Yup. You want a brushed finish, so sand it out. Some combination of high grit sandpaper, steel wool, and/or scotch brite pads should assist.
Very straightforward.
Ok, thanks!

It comes that way because there are three welds that show through to the front. They have to be ground down. But as Ron said, the buckle has a brushed finish so just buff it to match.
That makes more sense, thanks for telling me.

Hey guys,
I ordered a Greeblie from http://www.elvistrooper.com/props.htm , and emailed him, and paid in full for a Greebile. But, he has not answered any of my emails informing him that I paid. It has been a day. I am not sure if he has he received the money, or if he just hasn't checked his email or anything. Does anyone know how long it takes for him to mail it? Or if he is just unresponsive? Thank you.
