  1. Hey, I just got approved in a CS tailor made.

The jacket arrived in an OK state, but the pants were of by several inches.

I ended up paying the same amount at the Taylors, as the uniform from CS. But the extensive work at the taylors  was worth it.

The uniform went from being an OK CS uniform, to being my uniform, fitting my body.

I would plan on using a good amount of money at the taylors, as an officer uniform should fit you snugly. No officer would leave the academy in a poorly fitting uniform.

    As for the boots:

Go with Hessen, and get the the boots fitted. They are awsome, and when trooping for several hours, you will love a propper fitting boot.

  2. @fil5117.
No one is late, when it comes to Helping out fellow 501st members. And I thank you for chiming in as deployment officer (in View of your tight schedule)
As you may have read, I opted for the full package, and orders are arriving from around the World. I hope that my build eventually Will be up to scratch.

  3. @KMAN.
I Think you are 100% correct in your assumption.
"Anywho" i feel that i ended up with a clear picture of what is needed, and hopefully i Will be able to make my costume meet the required standards.
I'm looking forward to starting the "build", as Well trooping as an officer of the Empire in the future.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank everybody who have contributed in this thread.

  4.

    I think I understand what you're saying.

What I don't understand is this: For the purpose of the L2/L3 advancement program, I agree with you that the OUC is effectively "the bible" governing our configurations.  It very clearly states that the items are optional.  So where is the confusion?  Now *I* am the one who is confused, I think!

The first answer I Got on the thread was that the gaunlets/blaster was not optional for L3.
So the whole "debacle" is around this.
I was hoping that the OUC was "the bible" but didn't want to "F..k" my application up.
I am now of the opinion after Reading the OUC and trawling several L3 applications, that they are optional (as I was hoping).
IMHO the gauntlets and blaster kind of messes with the very Strict look of the Staff Officers uniform. Some guys have the holster "costumfitted" to the blaster, and it looks cool. Others have the standard holster, and I am not a big fan of those.
But Well. That is just my opinion.

  5.

In what way is the "Officer Uniform Configuration" NOT correct?

It seems like you're convinced there is an issue, but there is no issue.  Perhaps there is something I'm not communicating well, or some language barrier issue?

    We are misunderstanding each other.
What I mean is; that different opinions as to whether the Items are optional or not exist. And as a new "cadet" I don't want to submit a request to the promotion program, and then start the discussion there.
I'd like to have those issues sorted in advance.
I am of the opinion that the OUC, is the bible and it is what I Will follow in my future "build"

  6. It seems this is a matter for the gentlemen in the "promotions department". I´ll PM them

I don´t want to rock any boats on this one, or be a "Mr nitty gritty".

But!! the the "Officer uniform configuration", should be correct

any how, I´ll look into it, and I hope the gun/gauntlet issue will be sorted out.

Good night to you Gentlemen, and again thank you very much for your kind help

  7. Roger, that is understood.

I can go to L2 without, that gives me some time to try at figure the gun situation out. We have very strict gun laws in Denmark, but it should be possible to "source " a decent "toy version".. I hope. Getting " gun parts" into Denmark from the US i very difficult/impossible.

And an infringement of our gun laws could cost me my job, as I serve as a captain in the military police.

Thank you all for your help. It is nice to have some "subject matter experts" at hand

Look over the pinned uniform configuration thread:

You'll see the specs for Praji are:

Uniform style : Imperial staff officer (ANH variant)

Gloves : Gauntlet style (optional, not seen in the film)

Rank bar : 4 blue and 2 amber buttons

Code cylinders : 2 blue tipped dosimeters

Belt boxes : 2 vertically aligned

Weapon : Merr Sonn Power 5 (optional, not seen in the film)

Holster : If you have a blaster

Blaster (and thus holster) is clearly listed as optional, as are the gloves.

Yes, that is what I thought... but it seems that they are not as optional as it may seem

L2 would be ok, L3 needs to be a specific character, so if you want to do a Praji, you need the correct accessories.

My question exactly, which accessories are correct, if Gauntlets and blaster are optional  for this character??

is it optional, or not optional?

if it is required for L3 Praji, then it is not optional for Praji as stated in the Officer uniform configuration.

  9. Hello good people.

I am doing a ANH staff officer, Com Praji.

i am going for Imperator eventually, so I have some questions about the "gadgets" i need for this costume.

I have the Tunic and Jofurs in the mail.

Belt, boxes, dosimetres, rank, hat and finally the "super expensive" boots , all arriving over the next 14 days.

But... going through the executor, and Imperator program I see most applicants have a blaster and gauntlet gloves as well.

It is stated in the "Officer uniform configuration" ( as of Fil5117, May 2015) that those items are optional for Mr Praji.

I actually like the clean officers look "sans" big gloves and blasters, which is why i chose Mr Praji in the first place after reading the "Officers uniform configuration".

The question is; does the lack of Gauntlet gloves and blaster exclude me from L2 and L3??

    Salute
