Hey there welcome! Rebels Thrawn is an awesome character and costume. You really stand out at troops with the blue and white!

For the makeup I have tried several different types/brands. I like the Ben Nye creams and the water activated makeup I got on amazon (I'll post a link for you). 
 
As far as the hair I tired using a black hair gel and then spraying a temporary blue on top of it but it became chalky and flakey exposing my skin colored scalp in several places. What ended up being easiest was to dye my hair black permanently and then using the blue spray on top of my regular hair. Works like a charm and does not flake off. If I was not in the military I would likely just dye my hair dark blue. If that's an option for you that would be the easiest but not everyone can/desires to have blue hair all the time.

I can print one for you if you would like. It's @Exaldear 's model.  Its also the one used in the Thrawn CRL. I also have another file for a slightly different version of this blaster. I have 3 printers running so let me know! I prefer just to sell raw prints, but if you really don't want to finish it I can.

Thanks man! The actual code cylinders I turned on the lathe and they are super accurate, I'm still trying to figure out how to make the clip more accurate. Also I got some new eyes and according to my wife I am the thing nightmares are made of. 
 
 

Thanks man! I was to try and cast the clip in aluminum and then put it on a metal one that I turned but these do the trick for now!

Gotcha! Yeah the secret service is a bit jumpy to say the least lol. I'll shoot you a message on the commission. Seriously good job, it looks really nice! 

I use the Ben Nye creams I've tried a couple of others as well. One water based and one alcohol based. The water based one I didn't care for because it felt super chalky on my skin. It was the easiest one the get out of the tunic though. The alcohol based paint was fantastic in that it didn't rub off at all, however it was SO hard to get off my skin. It took my wife about 5 hours to apply and then after the troop it took
me another 3 hours to get it all off. It also tinted my skins bit blue the next day. Being in the military that doesn't really work so I spent most of Sunday scrubbing that off. I won't be using that makeup again. 
 
The best one in the middle of the water based and the alcohol based paints I think is the Ben Nye paint. It's not as easy to get off the tunic but if you wear a turtleneck under your tunic it really minimizes the amount that transfers. It can be taken off the tunic with a liberal soaking of oxy clean. I also use copious amounts of scotch guard on my tunic so that helps a lot when it comes to getting the blue out. I would recommend the Ben Nye above all others I have tried. 
 
For the hands, the only thing I have a success with is blue liquid latex body paint. It's a bit tough to match the colors of the face paint but if you can, once it dries all you have to do is rub some baby powder on your painted hands and it won't transfer to your uniform. You have to be sure that it is fully dry before you touch your tunic because if it's not dry the liquid latex is impossible to get off of your tunic. 
 
I would love love to see someone come up with a silicone glove that looks like a hand on the outside. That would solve a lot of problems. It would for sure be something I would buy. Unfortunately, my sculpting skills are non existent so I will not be taking this on.

I have a front load washer that I put in cold, delicate, and no spin. I soak the collar in oxy clean spray and let it sit for at least an hours although sometimes longer. I use regular detergent as well as powdered oxy clean. After it's been waged I hang it over the bath tub to drip dry and then iron it and re apply scotch guard. I have been successful in getting the blue out. I have worn it 10 troops with out any problems washing it this way every time.

Any word on when this will be open until? I'd like to submit but I won't have anyone else home to take photos of me until mid-next week.  

I thought I would post an update....After all of the commotion with the CRL I have revised and recreated my uniform.  I have also dyed my hair black so that it is easier to just add a little bit of blue to it.  I think the new uniform is a large improvement to the first.  I am having it altered to have straight seams in the back and then I think it will bring it into compliance with the new proposed CRL.  Let me know what you all think!
