[Replacement parts - Imperial Gunner]

Hello!  I'm interested in finding a replacement antenna for an Imperial Gunner helmet.  The CRL just states a bare metal antenna, which makes it sound like I can basically use any appropriately sized wire or actual antenna as long as is isn't sectioned (i.e. all one piece).  What do you think?  Do you know if this would be acceptable, and if not where I could find an acceptable replacement?
