Someone on the Imperial Officer Cosplay group on Facebook caught this one- Magnoli's Falcon boots that are factory seconds are currently half off!  Great deal if anyone is in need of boots- they do good quality boots, so I'd guess their seconds aren't too bad (kind of like TK Boots used to be)!  (I can't comment for certain, as I've never seen their regular or seconds in person).  Limited sizes available.

Since March, a new series called Darth Vader: Dark Visions has been continously released.
 
Good and well written, they show Vader as his persona and powers are widely known within the Empire. However, they also bring out some rather extreme cases of insanity among the imperial staff.
 
Issue nr 1 is a good read. It tells the story of a humanoid alien who witnesses Vader crash land on the aliens homeworld and awakens an enormous monster who the dark lord then fights in an almost medival knight vs dragon tale:
 
Issue nr 2: Well here we go....an Imperial Star Destroyer captain goes absolutely haywire crazy in his desperate attempt to capture a rebel U-wing. You thought the imperial fleet chasing the Falcon in ESB into an asteroid field was crazy? See for yourself...
 
Issue nr 3: And boy oh boy this done had me in stiches. In short, an imperial nurse falls in LOVE with Vader. Yep, you heard right folks. Essentially, she goes Harley Quinn-level of crazy over him:
 
 
 
Could issue 2 and 3 be possible future CRL? "Line officer gone bonkers" & "Imperial Love-crazy Nurse?" xD

I read the one with the lady obsessed with Vader I was not comfortable with it

I have a few busy days ahead of me so just in case I don't get a chance I would like to wish everyone in the IOC, a happy new year, may it be a great one for all

While promoting the premier for TLJ, I was attending as my Line officer and a colleague was dressed as Staff officer.
As we're standing in the hallway leading to the cinema halls, I hear two youths pointing at us and one of them saying: "There they are, the police." On the same evening, I also overheard a guy pointing at one of our TK's E-11 and saying to his friend/girlfriend: "Look. Thats an AK-47." I just rolled my eyes and realised he was REALLY trying to impress her.
 
At the premier for Solo, we were in another cinema and as it was late spring/early summer it was amazing weather outside. So me, and the same colleague as before, decide to step outside to do some better promoting, one of the first who sees us is a woman in her 60's or so. She looks at us and her face just grows more and more concerned and as they pass by, I overhear her saying to her company: ".....yes but I am just wondering what THEY are doing there?". She must have thought us to be some kind of actual police/authority force that was conducting a raid on the cinema building or similiar

Well done and congrats. The first one is always something a bit of a initiation rite for most members.
 
Once you get through the first, theres no stopping and you will most certainly be aching to get on with the next one asap
 
The uniform will come to grow on you

I've always admired and enjoyed looking at military uniforms, probably that aura of authority they create.
And as a member in the Swedish Home Guard, I do feel extra comfortable in uniform.
 
So it felt like a very natural call to have my first 501st costume be an officer.
 
Also, with ESB being my favorite SW movie and seeing the officers behave so well around the Star Destroyer bridges, I guess thats another factor that sold me

It was at SciFiWorld - The Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game & Film Convention, a convention I've attended to for several years now, enjoyed greatly and had the chance to pick up signed photographs from various actors while they've been there as guests.
 
So it was, of course, very special to attend this year not as a visitor but as part of the convention itself along with my unit: Nordic Garrison, as well as having the chance to meet more fellow members. We also had none other than Daniel Naprous (Darth Vader, Rogue One) as guest this year, which was a great moment for us.

Step Eleven:
Time for finishing touches! I have two, both are optional, but they help! Please do this after 24 hours. I don't exactly know if there's any risk to doing this near fresh e6000 but let's just not risk it please? 

If you still have some fly-aways around the edges of your boot, despite waxing, you can take a lighter (long lighters are best) and VERY QUICKLY sweep the flame along the inside edge of your boots to burn them away. Do not, I repeat, do not hold the flame steady against your boot for any length of time. Do this in small sections where it's needed, and keep the flame in constant motion. (This is why the flame isn't touching the boot in the photo) 


Next you can condition your boots! I was given this wax to treat a set of leather armor I bought, since I already had it on hand I used it on the boots which had some bad wrinkles already from being walked in. I applied the wax with a paper towel in circular motions and it immediately made the wrinkles look better. 

Don’t feel obligated to use this exact brand, I just happened to have it, feel free to shop around! Just make sure you’re not using a hard wax polish in this area, it can make the bends appear worse!



Now it's finally time! You are done! Admire your glorious boots! Take good care of them and they'll last a while! 

Looks great. I have yet to decide whetever to get it or not. It would look good on my own HT/SS collection of 1/6 Imperials. Now to just hope they go for Krennic as well.
