[Traction in boots?]

This may be a weird question and not really CRL related, but has anybody else had issues with traction in new boots? I just got mine in for my non-saga Staff Officer build and am wearing them around the house to start breaking them in. However, i’m finding myself slipping all over my tile floor. With the exception of the heel itself, the soles are just leather. Is that something that will eventually improve with wear? Or should I start looking for some kind of non-slip solution so I don’t take a tumble somewhere?

Hey there! Trying to build a pattern for my ISB officer and had a question about princess seams. The CRL doesn't require them for Level 1 Approval, but if I wanted to try for a higher level, are they supposed to be a specific distance apart at the bottom hem? Or what's the deal there?
