I was thinking of a place to store the baton, something where it is protected and looks nice at the same time. Thanks to a quite large collection of cardboard boxes we have I found the perfect box, grey fabric on the outside and made out of stiff cardboard. I also had some filling material left from the suitcase I bought (I knew I would need it one day) and this makes an excellent buffer. So voilá:
