lol I spent a good couple months trying to get my husband to read Thrawn, and he finally did and went right for the Celebration copy and I made an incoherent BWAAHHHHH noise of 'don't do that' and he swiftly put it down and hasn't tried to read it since. Whoops.

That's my hope!! But yeah I agree, with just the Chimaera, it'd be a great excuse to bring in the CEDF. Just like,,, imagine Thrawn trying to contact the CEDF and getting Eli just by coincidence. (Coincidence? Or the Force™?)
 
I wonder if we'll get any mentions of Pellaeon since he was mentioned in the S4 finale... although he's probably on one of the other ships in the fleet, a boy can dream lol. 
 
As much as I love the old canon for Thrawn, I'm really enjoying the new canon, and I am STOKED for this book.

Atollon is the planet with the Bendu in Season 3, which I assume is the creature that's mentioned. That said, it sounds like this'll have to be after the S3 finale, and obviously before the end of Rebels. Batuu hasn't been explored yet, but it is an Outer Rim planet that the new Galaxy's Edge park is supposedly going to be based on. 
 
I'm really excited at the prospect of the Thrawn - Anakin encounter in flashbacks, as well as them going out towards the Unknown Regions! 
 
All I want is Eli to be mentioned at least one (1) time honestly.

I would guess since just in that excerpt Palpatine made a jab about Thrawn being near his home, that it would open up a possibility for a reunion with Eli and maybe a little help from the CEDF if they get into trouble (since it seems they're just taking the Chimaera, not the whole fleet?)

This has been making the rounds lately in our Garrison and on social media, thought it would be worthwhile to share here as well. Great place for a newbie to start when they’re looking for an easy and versatile costume combo.

It ties in a HECK of a lot more with Rebels, which.. makes sense. I've just got a really bad memory so I think I'm going to be wookiepedia-ing a lot to remind myself of this planet or that battle. XD

Just finished issue #2, and honestly I don't know how I feel about it.  Granted my mind is in a thousand directions the last few days after starting a new job, but I don't think I enjoyed it as much as the first issue.  I'll read them back to back as soon as time allows though.
 
Something that did stick out though, is Vanto is now officially a commissioned Ensign, yet wore no rank plaque.  Perhaps the one he wore in issue 1 was, in addition to the grey uniform, an indication of his status as a senior cadet?

I haven't gotten the comic yet (going tomorrow) but the next bit in the book following where issue #1 left off is, in my opinion, the slowest part of the book.

I think The Flagship Eclipse might be a good option too, as a DZ. I think IOC might be a stretch since he's not affiliated with the Empire at that point. But I'd also be very excited to see a WIP, regardless!

Assuming he's born in 1 BBY - 0 ABY that only makes him 5 years older than Kylo. But even so, I'd hope he wasn't at the school, considering what happens lol. 
 
I think the possibility of him having grown up with Poe though is likely, Poe was born in 2 ABY and Shara Bey was also at the Battle of Endor, so she may have known Hera. 
 
I really hope we get some canon info about what happens with Ahsoka between "A World Between Worlds" and the epilogue. 

He would be about 35 at the time of The Force Awakens.  Maybe too old for Luke’s school, but his family does know Ashoka 

For me, one of the best parts was the acknowledgement from Dave in Rebels Recon that certain characters are indeed alive.
Plus a very quick nod, for those who caught it, to a certain Captain now brought back to Canon.

Thank you Dave. My girl went out with her boots on. Duty Honor Empire. So sad but so happy she died a great death with her men. I was a puddle last night. Killed 2 tissue boxes. 

I absolutely loved the finale personally, and I liked the end of Pryce's arc. Definitely awesome to see some navy troopers (and some gunner action too!)
