Some photos that we took over one of the weekend and we wanted to have some fun shots! and I used the Disneyland rank bar that they had. I pretty happy that the size looks pretty good.

As we wanted to do one photo on wearing a dress or a skirt with our officer outfit. So early on I did a inspired imperial Officer dress with a high slit after I saw the Solo movie on the officers socializing at the crimson dawn party. So just wanted to have a inspired dress for female imperial Officer.

Some of you may have seen this on Facebook.  But the Chicago Police Department did a video shoot with members of the 501st Midwest Garrison in promotion of Celebration.  This aired on most of the local news outlets this morning.

    Here is the link:

Got it on Star Wars day.
    It's the official ME mini-fig!!!

Mini-fig me's hair is a little lighter than mine, but I'll chalk that up to the miniaturization process.
It just so happened that I was making a Rogue One/Solo style Navy Captain rank bar for a friend.  Now I think I have to make one for myself...

The kit also came with 2 Range Troopers (meh) and what looks like an Imperial Ground Crew lady wearing a Navy Trooper helmet.
I wonder if that combination is going to show up in Solo?

Nobility has been part of the galaxy since long before the founding of the Old Republic, but there were no galactic nobility before the Emperor took control at the end of the clone wars.  Shortly thereafter the Emperor started to name nobility to supporters across the empire to create a system of Peerage.

The ascension of Chancellor Palpatine was not without precedent in the galaxy.  His own homeworld of Naboo was ruled by a series of Queens and Kings elected by the populace with a degree of authority stronger than a president or prime minister answerable to a legislature.  Palpatine HAD been elected to office and with no children, did not appear to be creating a hereditary monarchy.  The success of the Clone Wars brought in vast territories that had once been beyond the Empire’s reach.  The largest of these was the Outer Rim Terrirories, Hutt space, another region reorganized into what became the Corporate Sector Authority and effectively the Unknown Regions beyond the Western Reaches.

With no direct representation in the Imperial Senate these regions were often under military rule or increasingly under control of appointed nobles and sometimes corporate charters.

There are at least three grades of nobility that have been found in the 40 years of Star Wars stories.
The first we saw was “Baron” with the appearance of Baron Tagge of the house of Tagge, a noble family that included General from the Death Star.  The head of the family Ormon Tagge controlled a vast industrial conglomerate that brought him a seat at the table governing the galaxy.  He proposed to organize the underpopulated region of space into the “Corporate Sector Authority” for proper exploitation by commercial interested.  The CSA had its own security services separate from the empire and the intruding eyes of the Imperial Senate.  As long as the correct taxes were paid into the imperial treasury, Tagge and his family had an independent fiefdom of their own.

Baron Tagge jockeyed for the number two position to the emperor arguing that it should be him over Vader.  This lead to a confrontation where Vader challenged Tagge to a duel and blinded him with his lightsaber.  Tagge would spend the rest of his life practicing with a jedi lightsaber he acquired trying to become good enough to challenge Vader again and beat him.  Upon his death, a younger Tagge in the imperial military gained the title.

The Moff in charge of Cato Nemodia was also a Baron who had started as an imperial officer.

Probably the most famous Baron was Soontir Fel of the 181st squadron, who gained the title after a military victory.
Pilots seemed to be the most popular recipients of the title based on their own accomplishments.

Baron Valen Rudor was an imperial pilot on Lothal that received the title.

The title would come with a baton of office and an estate.  Baron Fel’s estate would come from his home planet on Corellia.  Baron Rudor would receive an estate on Lothal.  Many times this estate would come from the confiscated property of citizens arrested and executed for treason.  Rudor would gain Old Jho’s Pit Stop establishment.

A second noble title was given exclusively to pilots the title of Tam.  The title of Tam was given to two pilots in the Star Wars universe Anikan Skywalker and Imperial Pilot Merrik Steele in the video game Tie Fighter.  Creating it as a title was a “retcon” by Pablo Hildago who found the mention of Skywalker in the old newspaper Star Wars serials from the 1970s.  The title for Maarik Stele came in the official companion guides for the game.  And a new title was born.

The third and final title is “Lord”.  Lord is usually used for a higher rank than Barons, but no title of Duke or Count is heard in the saga.  Darth Vader is not the only Lord in the Empire.  Lord Tion is an imperial Commodore that first appeared in the Radio drama of A New Hope in 1980.  He is the imperial commander of the subjugation of Raltier and was a suitor for the affections of Princess Senator Leia Organa.

The title of a noble supersedes rank.  While an officer can be an admiral, captain, moff, or even a Lieutenant, they are addressed as Baron or even  “My lord”… even by superior officers, unless they are address by a noble of higher rank… which at this time is only the Emperor.

The purpose of nobility is to support the monarch and the structure that ensures continuity under that form of government.  The Empire passing at only 23 years old did not have the time to create enough peerage to continue this or maybe it was never intended to continue beyond the life of the Emperor as we see from the details of Operation Cinder.  Low level titles were given not so much to run the galaxy but to ensure loyalty and gratitude to the regime.

This is my proposed CRL originally posted in the Spec Ops forums under the Imperial Army sub-forum for the original trilogy Battlefront II Officer (link). Since this character falls into both detachments - the character is part of the Imperial Army but is also a junior officer - I think it's a good idea to post it here as well. Perhaps it'll be an dual-detachment CRL.

    Greetings, Promotion Board!

I'm a new member, both with the 501st and with the IOC. Although I've obviously met the minimum requirements for 501st Legion membership, I carefully followed the CRL for my costume with the intention of meeting level 2 criteria for OT/ROTJ. I've included a link to it here for ease of reference. I'm therefore respectfully requesting Executor status. My pics follow the CRL link.

Was in a group interview with some of the guys from the SG 501st. So they took some of my line.

The title is "Spend one year, to get the right color"

So my friend help me with some of the translate
<<Due to copyright issues, no company produces perfect/complete star wars costumes so members buy stuff online and custom to themselves, spending a lot of time effort n money to do so.

Only when they meet requirements, then they are awarded a ID number to join 501st and be a part or rhe dark side, make no mistakes it is a tough process.

32 yr old Joey Lim was an ID in the interview, and she spent a whole year just looking for the right colour material.

She said: We strive to make the costume exactly like what is on screen, but green can be a few hundred shades, and sometimes we need to need to order from England, France, Italy to get what is needed. We are very focused on details, and there is a CRL (Character reference library) to follow.

For example, the costume collar must be a V and if it is rounded the costume will not pass
Joey says, many costumers will try two to three colours, and being a tailor, just to make her own 501st approved costume, she has made so many costumes that a big wardrobe in her house is filled with Star Wars costumes. >>

    >_> The reporter make a mistick on that filled with star wars costumes only LOL XD

As far as I checked through the screencaps from ANH there is no other tunic than the Fahrenheit 451.

Shall we do a separate CRL for it or will this end up beeing too much?

What is the FISD doing in a similar case? They have two (!) separate CRL's for the Stromtroopers in ANH (Stunt & Hero) even though they only differ in the helmet-desgin and the number of rivets that connect the Holster to the belt. The ESB-TK als has only minor differences to the one in ANH (frown ist black, Holster moved to the right side and uses Loops instead of rivets) but got his own CRL as well.

If one should state the Fahrenheit 451 is similar enough to leave it with one CRL for the staff officer I say: that is not correct.

The Fahrenheit 451-tunic is completely different from the imperial tunic. That's what makes it worth to get an own CRL for it.

    What are those differences?

    1. The collar Closes on the right shoulder instead of a center closure.
    2. the double-breast has two visible seams at each side-edge.

    3. the double-breast design continues on the back of the tunic which has the look of open pleats running from the shoulders down.

    4. the cuffs are slit.

    5. there is a visible seam just beneath the edge of the codecylinder-pocket-edge

    6. the center of the skirt part in the back is slit on both sides.

The differences concerning the rest of the costume are the silver Clips of the code-cylinders, the flat belt buckle and the single rank-bar.

Here are some pictures from the movie "Fahrenheit 451":

What was obviously altered by John Mollo was the left side of the double breast. They closed the opened pleat and sewed it closer onto the left side of the front. The codecylinder-pockets have already been there from the beginning.

Thats what I saw in the "starwarsscreencaps" and on the Internet so far. Let's collect some more visual prove her.
