The radio drama in 1980 for a new hope and empire has a unique place in Star Wars history. Lucas sold the rights to public radio at USC for one dollar.
both dramas greatly expanded the movies showing how leia got the stolen data tapes, lots more of Biggs, leias father and the hinting of Tarkins betrayal of the emperor. Empire showed how Luke became the commander of Rogue Squadron.
Lucas was adamant keeping this as the top tier “G” canon for years until the new movies contradicted what happened in the dramas.
Return of the Jedi was produced in the 90’s. I remember coming back from cub scouts to hear the 1980 broadcast on radio. They are worth listening to because some of the actors like Hamill and Daniels reprised their roles
you can get it on Audiable
Huh thanks for the tip

I was unaware that there was a radio drama. I’ll have to give it a listen.

The statue game can be good and bad. At a recent troop, I was standing very still in my Royal Guard, when a policeman smacked the side of my helmet very hard, saying "this one almost looks real". My reflex reaction was to smack the crap out of him across the chest with my force pike. It didn't hurt him because it's just hollow plastic, but it scared him enough to hopefully not go around smacking expensive props (alive or not) like a moron.
That’s so awesome lol!!! Planetary authorities are rather impudent at times aren’t they. Sometimes they just need to be reminded of their place lol.

I personally like the WW better. I just dont like the holes on the Anovos belt. If you got the Anovos belt buckle and then bought leather from Tandy, then that might be another story...
I’d agree I have a thinner buckle like the one anovos sells. It just lacks a certain realism that the heavier wampawear buckle that I have has.

Good catch, but I'm not sure. If the radius is .25" (which is what I believe it to be, so for figuring here I'll say it is) it looks like your black line goes about .125" past that radius.
But that could be a good guide. Or it could be too specific.
Either way, good eye!I will just say I just whipped up the picture and lines to show the point I was making. But from other angles it does seem consistent.

See the thing about rank is it’s a state of mind. And that is classy

Awesome fun!

I’d like to make a suggestion for Thrawn’s rank bar. It seems as though the four outermost corners of the four border tiles also function as the center points for the rounded corners of the bar itself.

Yup. Digitally aging and deaging is a weird thing. But the did good in guardians of the Galaxy 2 with Kurt Russell.
And Jeff bridges in Tron when the technology was pioneering.

Cool beans lol. Yeah his “younger” self is kinda weird looking. Lol

Paul blackthorne or weird bloated cheek Paul blackthorne?

Lol I'm so hoping he will be made as a playable
Hask then?

I don’t think it has a horizontal curve either.

I didn't enjoy the Canto Bight scenes in the movie, but the book is really good. Random Pulp Fiction-ish stories in a galaxy far far away.
Ok when you put it like that it doesn’t sound so bad. I bought the book when it came out just to have it but maybe I will read it. Once I’m done with the old republic books

Thanks for the clarification Scott!
I thought that Eli was a Lieutenant Commander, because it's the same rank Krennic had for a short time in "Catalyst" and it was also translated as "Kapitänleutnant". And Thrawn shortened it calling Eli "Kaleu" which sounds ridiculous to me, don't know if he called him "Lieuco" or whatever in english
I know...
According to Glyn Dillons Rank Chart a Navy Commander is lower than a Navy Captain, but in the novel it's just the other way round. Thanks Timothy, I thought you would make it right
But I just finished the novel and it's brilliant! Very close to "Heir of the Empire"
Languages are funny. Wouldn’t it be great if we all spoke Basic

I for one blame Ensign Vanto.
Seriously though, I've STRUGGLED with a lot of StarWars lit in the past. I really want to choke my way through Aftermath because of obvious ginger reasons, however thin on the ground they are, but its just such a bloody chew to read? It's so clunky? Thrawn just read like an absolute DREAM with minimal "you must be this much Star Wars to ride".
I need to get off my ass and finish the Heir trilogy... I'm super hyped for Alliance though and really jealous that you'll all get fancy B&N hardback covers as usual. :CI’ve read all of the Star Wars new canon books. Except that stupid canto bight book I mean seriously who cares about canto bight. The aftermath trilogy was epic It’s watching it like a movie in my head the whole time i was reading it. I loved the final book especially.
