  1. Watching the movies, I always loved the imperial officer uniforms. Not as random or clumsy as a rebel uniform.  An elegant uniform for a more civilized age ;) . I am not a big tall buff guy that would look appropriate in a Vader outfit, nor am I short enough where I would make a convincing Jawa. I felt right wearing the unform. Outside of the 501st, I have always been known to overdress to occasions, and love to rock a nice dress shirt with a suit and tie. Carrying that to the Star Wars world, I feel that Imperial Officers were the best dressed and sleek looking. They also put up with a lot of Vader's crap, which takes discipline lol.  Apart from my Staff and ISB Officers, I also sport a Snowtrooper, and am almost done with my TK, but my heart will always belong to the IOC.

  2. Hey Sandra!

This link will tell you everything you need to know about what is required for Executor and Imperator levels.

All required costume components minus the trousers need to meet level 2 requirements for Executor.

For Imperator, items that list an optional level 3 certification need to be met in addition to the level 2 requirements.

After you have everything put together, head over to http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/forum/70-the-promotion-board/ to submit your pictures for approval. Dont forget to read the topics listed in the link which would help expedite your approval.

    Best of luck!

Maybe Ones a stunt double :-D

Mac inspired me to do some research.

So the gentleman in the VD for R1 is Paul Putner and actor/writer/comedian. Its possible that he was first cast for that role and there were images already gathered for merchandise and promotional material. However, re-shoots happened.

Coincidentally to our case, the stunt supervisor for the re-shoots is Steen Young who, according to IMDB and Canon: A Star Wars Wiki, plays a "vault officer" in the movie R1.

So its possible that they had this look for Putna at first (VD), but for the purpose of the re-shoots and the availability with the actor, the stunt coordinator stepped in and filled that role.

Moral of the story: Re-shoots don't help at all lol

You mean these could be his code cylinders?

Trying to find a better shot. But in retrospect, those don't seem to be it.

Nonetheless, I would think a captain that is guarding the plans to the Death Star would require code cylinders to access parts of that area. I mean isn't it standard for Imperial Officers to carry code cylinders around?

  5. I know I am jumping in this topic pretty late, but believe the code cylinders should be required, not optional. Though the one shot you have with the staff officer isn't wearing any code cylinders,  in other shots you see what I believe appears to be two metal cylinders in the panel in front of him. Security clearance is required to access secure areas and that may be the case here. Special access may be required to access this panel.

The same way we know line officer hats are part of their uniform even though we see line officers on screen without them, the same can be said here. A captain like the one seen above requires that kind of access and code cylinders should be required. Just my two cents.

Id love to put this costume together. Cant wait for the CRL when it is done :)
