Yeah most of us had various shades, was more than just 2.
It also rained the entire day we were out there which will have effected the costumes slightly

Yeah, makes sense. Taramyn is referred twice as a corporal yet he has one stripe. Kimzi has two stripes and is also referred as a corporal. He has a technical position with higher responsibilities. So I think it's right to suspect there are two grades of corporal who act as squad leaders.
Being based in the UK it may be based on our army ranks
Lance Corporal (1 stripe) and Corporal (2 stripes) both referred to verbally as just Corporal

Hello to everyone!
So from our side ( @Bubuc44and I) we have decided to go with this material: https://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/14862-imperial-army-trooper-andor/&do=findComment&comment=185288
The material was the recommendation from our tailor. Also our tailor has made these sketches about the possible layout of the vest and the pants. What do you think about it?
Vest: In this aspect we are pretty sure about it, with the add that pockets on the bottom go all the way down.
Pants: This are more complicated. We don't know if there are horizontal sewing lines in the pant or no...
In some scene like this one, it seems we can see them (be aware of SPOILERS in this picture)-https://photos.app.goo.gl/dMKH4mvRaqYJydPf6
Also, we can already say that the Helmets, specially the flap on the back, are very different in their heights depending on which one is wearing it. You can see an example here (be aware of SPOILERS in this picture)-https://photos.app.goo.gl/MtcokyQ843GXkNYk8
Finally, for the different variants of the Army trooper, that then we'll need to group for CRL, we have:
- Army trooper- Soldier, Corporal and something between soldier and corporal. Also there is a kind of "butler" version that we se here (warning of SPOILERS in this picture) and the corporal version with headsets.
- Army trooper with armor- Soldier, and leader (not sure about what is the grade)
- Army trooper with armor and helmet-Soldier
Anyway, let me know what you think. On our side we'll be talking with our tailor to rty to short out a final scheme for the vest and pants.
Your pattern for the jacket looks spot on, the jackets had full length zips with the velcro closures and the top velcro closure had a hook closure aswell in the middle of the velcro
The helmeted version I wore was referred to as Imperial Checkpoint Guards.
Squad leaders were the ones with white stripes on the shoulder

I know Jim uses Feld Grey thick weave Gaberdin per his website for his Muddy/ICATs. Its like denim but lighter with a little stretch. Could that be it?
No uts different material from the muddy/icat

It seems Walt's Trooper Factory has already been working on the hard parts. I think he used a toy as model. For example, his kit includes some greaves while the troopers we see on Aldhani don't wear any.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/waltstrooperfactory/permalink/5239454422833402/Apparently we were meant to have the shin greaves but they had broke loads of them by the tike they came to film in Scotland, possible they may show up elsewhere in the series but that was just what I was told on set when I asked

Hey guys, I was lucky enough to wear the uniform on set and now the episode aired today I'm probably a little more free to talk about it.
It was more like a stretch denim, will try get some example pictures of closeups to be used at somepoint.
I'm at work just now but will post up more information later, currently just enjoying the fact I was onscreen in Star Wars

Anyone else get a pass to the Disney After Dark Star Wars night? I jumped on one as it seems like they are relaxing the "no-costumes" stance for the event, and the way I read the remaining restrictions, it looks like IOC uniforms should pass muster. I figured this would likely be my only chance at getting pictures in uniform in Galaxy's Edge... Which is the whole point of going to Galaxy's Edge for me!
i got mine, really looking forward to the event (if it goes ahead now) , Had the same thoughts but trying to decide what costume I could conceivably pack and take with me across the pond (Officer is quite likely)
