    Left OT disk right R1/Solo

The hat disk is getting swapped out, at least on mine, you are correct about R1 and Solo not having a notch, however it will be up to the CRL writers whether to make that a basic requirement or a L2/L3 requirement.

Maybe its just me, but I don't see any difference in the greeblies on the belt buckles, are they slightly different sizes?  there is already some variance in these depending on what vendor you get them from.....maybe a better explanation?

You are also correct on the rank bar, it is a standard rank bar (Push buttons mounted on an aluminium strip), which is glued (or in some ways attached) to the armor, this is exactly how the rank is attached on mine, which is the CRL picture

  2. Now that elections are over and we have a new Command Team can we please re-visit this?

To recap what I I think we are all advocating for (amending what I started with):

    1. A generalized Mimban Officer CRL that allows for any SOLO rank variation (Captain and Major specifically - but allowing others) for LVL 1 approval - in keeping with what seems to be the other officer CRL's that are not face characters.

    2. That the LVL 2 Certification be left as is.

    3. That the Lt. Bolandin replication be a LVL 3 Certification (fur collar, clipped code cylinders, rank on trench coat, scarf, etc.)

    Thanks!

For what my opinion as CRL originator matters, I’d back all of these ideas, would better match the other “non face” CRLs.

  3. I’ve used Hessen boots back when I used to do historical re-enactment. They’d last around 2-3 years of heavy in the field use, more if you got them repaired as needed.

For our purposes, cons, parades, hospital visits, I don’t see a need for anything higher grade.

  4. I understand, but is it possible to create a imperial army detachment?

Anything is possible, but it’s unlikely, I think the logistics of creating a whole new Detachment that would only contain 3-4 CRLs is keeping that from happening.

  5. The stuff I used will wash off if dry cleaned, it’s set with hairspray.

Same goes for the boots, I’m gonna wash them off when i want to do a standard Line Officer or ATAT Commander.

You’ll also need to make the fur collar removable if you want the coat to work for both this and a normal Line Officer

  6. But I thought officers levitated above the mud? Or does that only start at the higher ranks, maybe if you are a Major or Colonel you can be nice and clean

But alas, I’m but a lowly Lieutenant, lucky I’m not lost with a compass...

  7. Detail component shots of the now muddied boots and jacket.

I used a theatrical weathering powder kit. And yes for the mud “splashes” I literally used spit mixed with various colors of powder, gross but effective.

Tried to keep the “grime” in logical places, bottom 1/3 of coat, elbows, a couple splashes higher up. And on the boots mainly the bottoms, getting cleaner as you go up the shaft.

Boots (these will wash off, so no crying)
