Well it CAN be 100 degrees here, it can also be 0 degrees here and snowing.
Other question would be......belt boxes, or no.......

Just a quick question as a newbie.
*I’ve already been approved per the CRLs for a Line Officer and an AT-AT Commander so this question isn’t for initial approval, but for something fun to do*
What are the rules in regards to putting together a costume not based around anything “on-screen”?
I ask because for winter troops I was thinking about combining some costume elements into “General Veers on the ground on Hoth” look. Basically combining the basic AT Commander kit with a Line Officer Trench coat (from R1 and Solo), goggles worn, possibly face covered with a balaclava and with a MSP blaster pistol.
It’s not cannon, but conjecture from available canon/legends sources. I have all the components from this, so I figure it may be something for cold weather.
So is this allowed?

My CPS uniform, which I am selling btw. As mentioned, be VERY specific with your sizes

It’s quite a bit more pricy but I’d highly recommend Magnoli, great color especially for the OT, and great fit. I have a COS as well, it fits baggier and the color is far to light, at least for my taste, but COS is approved, just be careful with your measurements

This has probably been discussed to exhaustion, but as someone newish here, and as a historical re-enactor, figured it was a fun topic.
I know the general theory is that Lucas modeled officers from both Second World War German uniforms and those from F - 451.Interestingly though, the Imperial Officer tunic is nearly identical to the tunic worn by British and Commonwealth pilots of the First World War, was referred to as a "maternity tunic" due to its odd shoulder closure.
Some pictures of me in a modern reproduction of an Australian Flying Corps Lieutenant, wearing the above tunic. Remove the Collar and Epaulets, and it should look VERY familiar

Assuming that the Empire followed old British army regulations, then a well kept mustache to the corners of the mouth would be acceptable, and to some extent sideburns, but it was the 1970s/1980s so side burn away. But I'd avoid goatees, soul patches, or full beards. Maybe 1-2 days growth if you are doing a "field officer" look, but even then, try to keep it to military uniform standards.

Glad to hear it, the boots seem to be one of the most expensive parts of an IOC impression, so I'm glad the ones I have would pass muster

Wanted to check on these boots.
I've had these awhile, they are second world war German Wehrmacht officer riding boots.
Black Real Leather, smooth leather soles, non-slip heel
20" Tall, smooth, no buckles or zipper, top is straight not Spanish style or cut at all
Single seam up back side of boot, and stitching visible on each side from boot pulls
Would these pass approval? In reading the costume requirements on the 501st page, it seems these would even meet Tier 3, but I could be wrong and wanted to check
Non-CRL costumes

Pretty much, just with the ESB style helmet, goggles and armor instead of the Solo style, and the R1/Solo officer trench coat over it and no gas mask
