terr899 got a reaction from lantern2745 in general costume questions
I got pretty lucky with my cosplay sky orders so far. The black uniform I bought I bought using their general size. I had to take the sleeves up a bit to my wrist but I simply did that with some quick sewing. Seems to fit pretty well all things considered. However I feel I got lucky as the olive uniform I want to buy I will have to send extra measurements to make sure it fits even better haha. (pay no attention to the gloves, older picture/not submission photo).

i tested with the wife hairband (don't tell her lol), but the theory seems sounds. Maybe something lighter like a good sized rubber band that won't cut off my circulation after a few hours.

If you're always going to be wearing the gauntlets then you can sew a small hoop of elastic on the cuff near the seam. This then goes over your thumb and stops the sleeve bunching up. I have this on my Biker Scout and TK undersuit and works well.

Honestly, I wiggle them on to my wrists. That tends to work for me. But have see guys use rubber bands to hold the sleeves down too.
