OT Officer boots are extremely simple tall black riding boots.  Leather soles, ordinary stacked heel, and no seams other than the back seam and the join to the foot part.

FO Officer boots, however, are different in a couple of important details.  They have a thick one piece rubber sole, no extra heel, and instead of having a shaft that is a single piece of leather, there are two pieces, with a horizontal seam connecting the upper and lower parts.

The leather used on both is pretty similar.

I'll be pushing 6'4'' wearing FO compliant boots.  Rather terrifying.   >:D

Thank yall for the info, and apologies for my newness and lack of awareness. >.<

Sounds good! I would check out the FO sub-thread on this forum. You can find lots of good info there.

As a follow up for voicing the educational process, is that other than going for lvl3 with the OT Officer boot, being essentially really nice equestrian boots, the principal design difference i'm seeing with FO and OT is the FO boots are smooth/semi to high gloss black, whereas Imperial are leather texture with moderate degree of sheen.

That seemed to be my principal misunderstanding of the terms or differences. :)

Also, I look at it like this. An officer shines when he as a few troopers with him or when he's a vaders side. So I would encourage you to look into your squad and see if they have Kylo or FOTK's. But like I said if you really want to do a FO officer do it!

I plan on doing both eras eventually, this is also a lead up to doing likely some sort of TK *undecided* at this time.

From what I hear Imperial Boots will do a small run of their FO boots when they get around 7 or more requests for them. You might be able to contact them to get on a run list.

I've reached out to their team about this. Thank you.

Magnoli makes them as well, however, they are very expensive. Unless, you already purchased from mazcave or you really want to do FO officer, I would do OT first, its much more beginner friendly to make and more friendly on your wallet. :)

Boots is tough, but I can make that work if needed to be correct. The boots on Magnoli look great.  >.<

Maz is good, are you getting the belt from him as well?

Im doing the whole kit, yes.   I'll need boots and blaster essentially.   BYOB&B.

The boots in the link that you posted are for Rogue 1 and Original Trilogy, they won't work for First order.

Do you happen to know where I can order proper boots for a FO Officer?

Welcome! The boots of the FO are different from OT boots. So you would need a new pair boots for the OT build. Are you having a uniform custom made?

I am, going through MazCave on Etsy who seems to make good products and came as a recommendation. I'm fine for the boots being separate. Interchangeability is nice though. :P

  7. Hello there,

I'm working on my "first of my first" ensemble of a First Order Flag Officer, and am waiting a few more days till ImperialBoots.com opens up a run, and wanted advice since boots are always and important part of many CRLs.   https://www.imperialboots.com/product/officer-boots/  < link for sauce.

I'm going through a tailor for the uniform bits, but boots and the sidearm will be separate.

    1) Does anyone know if the boots for a First Order flag officer is also interchangeable with the Imperial officers from OT?  From what I can tell from CRLs, it looks ok, but I'm not sure if anyone has seen otherwise or has better advice.

    2) I see a ton of stuff on Etsy regarding 3D printed SW arms. Appearances wise they look good.  Are they a good option / choice?

I don't want to reinvent the wheel and this forum came highly recommended for information. :)

I plan on an OT Imperial Officer being my next one.......... <i'm quickly learning that this is very much a ".....there can never be just one" hobby>

    Thank you  for your time.
