  1. @AdmiralJag Your photos disappeared. Any way to repair?

@Bowrider Nice work on the suit pattern.

What fabric do we think is correct for the suit?
The suit has contrast visible stitching, correct?

Could the CRL be built with the jackboots as the standard, and the insulated boots as the option?

I'll have a look, I think I can fix it by editing through the app

  2. Looks like the boots Dedra etc. wear, in Andor are almost a blend of director krennics boots (strap etc.) with First Order style inner leg zippers?

I definetly agree the straps and inside zippers etc. would be best as optional for level 2,, I think for basic approval we could keep the requirements as they are, because the boot designs seem to have been altered for each different non-saga tv show/films..

So long as the boots meet all the 'basic' requirements (correct height, leather material, heels etc.)

Then we can give the option for people to progress to level 2, by having boots that feature either one or all of the new accessories we have seen thus far. That way, if more boot variations are released in future shows or films, it would be easier for us to add those accessories as optional level 2 to the CRL's as well. ??

Of course there may be certain exceptions to this, mainly if a named character CRL is seen with a specific variant. ( a perfect example of this is Krennics Crl, for basic approval the boot straps are not required but rather for level 2 or 3, so a member can progress to achieve a higher level if they wish).

, I dont think we want too make things to constrained to any one specific variant. But rather have the accessories as optional for members to aspire to achieve a higher level of clearance with their costumes. :)

  3. I thought I'd share these pictures here, which are of the 3, gray uniformed wardens that were in the prison control centre. They seem to be wearing the same style flightsuit, and officer hats, but their uniforms, seem to be made from a "Glaucous" fabric, which is a type of gray/blue??. The topstitiching on their flightsuits is again the same layout but in black rather than white. Not sure if these could classify as a "version 2" of the prison warden or if they would get labelled as a separate crl. But I hope these references help

I couldnt find any references to their boots, but I'd say they would be wearing the same style jackboots or those special electric insulated boots. :)

I think this uniform is green. This officere was wearing green in previous episodes. BTW which Episode of Andor was this screen grab from? Thanks. Am going to to be making this version of the Poncho. Cheers!

Yes I think this version is the standard "feldgrau" uniform, as he was part of imperial army.

@Bowrider This screen grab was from Episode 4 (Aldhani), hope this helps.

I'm liking this poncho version as well. :)

  6. Thanks for uploading the full draft @chicken45  :D

These are the drafts, for the trenchcoat and gloves, which I have been working on  below,

I used the same black gloves requirements from the other "non-saga officer CRL" as from the production shots, it seems that the gloves would be same style as the other non-saga officers. Ive attached the relevant reference pics for the gloves, to hopefully help confirm these as optional accessories.

    Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.

    TRENCHOAT IN CREAM-ECRU (OTPIONAL)

    Trenchcoat

    • Made of a medium-weight waterproof fabric that is cream-ecru in color.
    • Fabric has a matte finish.
    • Two flares at the breast overlap and close in the front, left breast over right. The collar continues around the neck and is approximately 3.5 inches wide.
    • A seam runs down the arm on the outside, it begins at the costumer’s collar.
    • Two inch long cuffed sleeves with a single button towards the end of the cuff. The cuff “strap” ends in a chevron shape.
    • On the back, the storm shield has a pinch pleat at the top center of the shoulders.
    • The coat ends mid-calf and is straight cut along the bottom edge.
    • The coat below the belt has a split seam in the back.
    • Two pocket flaps may appear at the costumer’s hip, but are not required; if present, there should be no visible pocket stitching.
    • The coat is worn either belted with the standard leather officer's belt, or loose.

    IOC NonSagaGrn-Gloves.jpg
        Gloves
    • Black, wrist length gloves constructed of a smooth, non-textured leather or leather-like material.
    • Enclosed fingers.
    • No buckles, straps, etc.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
    • Gloves have a plain back and no visible adornments.
    • Gloves made of leather.
    • Gloves end just past the wrist.
OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):
    • Gloves have a notch centered in the edge below the palm.
      • Slit may be straight or rounded.

These are the reference photos we currently have to confirm the gloves as optional accessories.

And Ive attached this below, to hopefully help people with the Trenchcoat color, I had a tailor friend of mine who has kindly been looking at these photos and samples of various fabrics, so far he says the closest he can find is a type of Cream-Ecru.

  7. Hi all

I have been compiling a full checklist of everything that we currently have for this CRL. Thanks to @chicken45 for starting a draft for the epaulets. they look incredible so far. :)

Currently the checklist is as follows (bearing in mind changes may occur depending on new available reference pics from future Andor epsidoes). I have also put the hat in "optional accessories" along with the gloves and trenchoat as we have now had several shots from the trailers, and production photos, showing ISB officers both with and without them being worn. As for the Trenchoat, it looks to be a Cream/Ecru colour, as it stands out from the white tunic. But aside from that it appears to follow the same pattern and waterproof fabric as the other trenchoats..

    COSTUME REQUIREMENTS:

    - Tunic (White)

    - Jodphurs (Black)

    - Code Cylinders (x2 "silver clip")

    - Belt Boxes (x2 non-saga style)

    - Belt (Black Leather, with correct belt buckle)

    - Riding Boots (Black Leather)

    - Officers Rank Bar

    OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES:

    - Officers Hat (Black, with correct code disc)

    - Officers Gloves (Black Leather)

    - Epaulets (Silver "brushed mettalic finish" x2)

    - Trenchoat (Cream/Ecru, Waterproof fabric)

In the next post I'll upload a more refined Draft :)

  8. Hi all, I forgot to add these references earlier, but thought it was best to wait until everyone had seen the new andor trailer. we got another nice look at the ISB trenchoat, it does look like it will be the same design used with the other officer varients, and its using the same style of "waterproof" texture.

Judging by the natural lighting in this screenshot, the fabric color appears to be more of a Cream/Ecru, as we can see the tunic underneath which is white in comparison.

Sadly after examining several frames, I still haven't found any new high resolution images as of yet where the black leather gloves can be clearly seen, so we still at the moment only have the previously uploaded production shots for reference, but hopefully more footage will appear in the future, that will allow the gloves to be added as optional accesories.

If i come across any new source material I'll continue to add to this thread :)

I have a question, maybe stupid, but... Are you sure this is ISB? They looks like ISB, but I remember from books (I think it was "Tarkin") that military intelligence also has white tunic and black jodpuhrs (and if I remember correctly, after a plot in this book military intelligence was dissolved). Krennic has the same uniform, but he wasn't ISB officer. So I think it isn't ISB, maybe military, but of course we will see when series will release.

Could be right, I had forgotton that military intelligence had a similar uniform.

Will definitely be interesting to see them when the series is released.

Looks like they are sticking with the new "white" fabric that they used for Krennic and R1 ISB. Rather than the Cream from ANH.

worst case is if it does turn out they are intelligence and not ISB, we can still use these photos to help with the CRL. :)

I completely forgot to upload these photos earlier, so just adding them here to the others.

The first is another shot from the Andor set production. Again, not great picture quality, (had to zoom in a lot here), but thought it was worth adding for now.

unfortunately we cant see the type of gloves worn yet, but if its anything to go by based on the other non saga officers, it could be the same style, wrist length made of smooth black leather. :)

Ive also put together a comparison pic, of the new ISB trenchcoat from behind, next to a regular trenchcoat worn onthe OLive officer. Both taken from the Andor trailer. Hope these help, they so far appear to have the same design, with the seams, etc.

  11. Great to hear thanks,

Im currently drawing up a pattern for my tunic and jodphurs, so hopefully I can start posting some WIP pics soon.

Also having someone make me a prototype pair of the metal shoulder epaulettes, featured on the captains uniform, which I will be happy to share, to help with reference photos.  Hopefully we will get some more reference pics in the future, regarding the trenchcoats when more Andor footage is relased.

will be exciting to see this progress.

    :)

  12. Hi everyone

Im currently already working on a non saga officer, for my next 501st costume, but after seeing the new Andor teaser, its got me really interested in also making an ISB uniform.

I have a quick question about this, as with the current "version 3" ISB costume from Rogue One, gloves are not an optional accesory, and I just wanted to ask if these photos from both the Andor trailer and prodcution shots, may shed any new light on this?

Im only guessing here, but they appear to be wearing the same style uniform as the RO isb, with the code cylinders etc.  the tunics look white, again same as the RO version, but could be a trick of camera light.

there does seem to be some new rank bars as well , but only one variant, (5 blue squares) is clearly visable so far .

any advice on this would be great, as I'd would be interested in making this costume.

    Thanks everyone, :)
