I don't know if this guys uniform under the rainponcho is green or grey. If it was grey, this would be the first grey one to wear similar colored breeches.

I would tend to say he's on the green side of the uniform but diffcult to say since it's shot in daylight.

Also checked out this and thought similar - the difficulty is the contrast of the user’s screen, and then also the lighting.

That being said, definitely could be a green, but to me it looks like a gray, I feel like Andor is using lots of grays, blacks and whites for the officers. I think in this week’s episode or others to come we’ll see if Lt. Gore’s or other officers in his region have gray suits or gray in general :)

  2. Gentlemen,

I have spare time today so I’m posting some screen captures of the 2nd, “Lt” working with ISB I’m going to call them.

The top photos are of when 1st LT Dedra interacts with her fellow ranking officer and we can see an LT dressed in full behind her. He appears to have no boxes on his belt but in the scene still shows 2 blue cubes on the left breast side of his blazer.

The last pic here is 2nd Lt. Haara discussing the, “box” with 1st Lt. Dedra, you can see he is sporting two boxes on his belt but thankfully has the same outfit as the other none named 2nd ISB staff lieutenants in this episode.

I’ve observed both this 2nd LT behind Dedra not wearing code cylinders.

However also in the episode are some wearing code cylinders including Lt. Haara.

Just linking a similar topic where discussion about the new/old gray officers is currently taking place.

I belive it could help with creating a new CRL or updating the current "Army Operations Officer" to new standards if needed down the line...

I would also suggest leaving this thread for more confirmed informations in the future and limit more "free" discussions to the topic linked below:

This is a tough one -

I’m going for Gray Officer assistant blazers and Gray Lt, Gor suit under Poncho. When you see Lt. Haara next to Dedra you can tell the difference of gray, white and the back wall colors as well for the most part due to basic contrast.

The difficulty in determining the color is - depending on the screen contrasts of the user’s screen it could appear differently.

I think the best way to determine the colors would be getting someone to ask the costume designers which always seems to happen here. :)

That all being said I believe Officer Haara is an, “LT” as we called them in the Army. But then again perhaps someone can correct me with the ranking. Two blue cubes means lieutenant?

    Hello all,

I've started a DROP BOX instead of individually uploading each Picture and Video to this discussion.

This drop box shared file will allow access to any who wish to see the current progress and work that's being performed on this 501st outfit.

ADMINS - please inform me if this link works properly.

    Thank you

NOTE - It's important to remember these images are of the Tech and the Pilot's digital created uniform.

According to my source there are more outfits as well - He will be sending those and I believe in those will be the Tech as a digital scan. The Digital renderings in this Drop box seem to be of the Pilot and not exactly what the Technician is wearing. But this will be confirmed in time.

  6. For those wishing for the files

This link has many game photos that will be helpful for us determining what needs to be done.

Many are the Pilot but a few are the, “Technican.” Also we’re still receiving files so they will be posted here as they are received if possible.

If the link doesn’t work I’ll try and upload pics here directly.

It is exactly the same suit as the Imperial Enlisted Flightsuit (Non Saga).

It is the darker grey flightsuit made of nylon just like in Rogue one.  It has the embossed patches,.  Boots are the same.  The hat has a notch in the greeble like OT Hats, though this one is turned down.  It has the smaller belt box.  The belt is grooved.

The main addition are the pouches and the goggles.  I would rather this be a tab with the enlisted flightsuit for organizational purposes.  It is just slightly a different configuration.

Good comment - thank you for sharing.

I have received digital files that show this is one of, “several different versions that have been made.” Tonight I will be able to receive the differences and in the meeting this weekend all this can be determined on which would be used.

I tend to agree. The piece made by Wampa has discussed and it’s (A) Not Nylon, and (B) it’s cuffs are different. Wampa had confirmed to me he wants to determine that this weekend as he’s not confident with two large changes that this can be combined together.

But I’m sure this will be determined this weekend.

Also, @OfficerBlakley - I think you mentioned in our FB chat that this is officially called "Tie Fighter Technician" - can you let us know the source for that?

Yes - according to the digital files to my understanding the reference files say, “technician” or, “Tie Fighter Technician” however that will be verified before it’s stamped.

@OfficerBlakley I have moved your thread to this section - where we talk about new CRLs!

Love how you have gotten this started!

Agreed that this is likely to be a Rogue One-style base flightsuit in grey. Have you found someone who can make this suit yet? I know there are very little number of vendors who are currently producing Rogue One-style flightsuits.

Have you seen this other thread? There were some discussions last year about a similar/same flightsuit. The only difference I am seeing between your thread here and that thread =

    1. Goggles
    2. Pouch
    3. Boots

    This thread >>

ACTUALLY, the more I look at that OTHER thread, the more I wonder if their boots is also without buckles?

Here's what else we're going to need - reference images! Do you have access to more high-res images so we can get details of the suit? Ideally we'd like to get front, back, left, right, and close-ups that'll allow us to see more details?

Thank you for moving my thread here!

The easier it is to find the better the contribution can be. So again thank you!

Yes! I’m pleased to announce Wampa Wear is working with me directly and 2 others to get this flight-suit made. A meeting will be had this weekend going over sketches, 3D designs and other pieces that have already been made for this design.

Now the issue we’re running into is this - there’s already a Flight-suit made by Wampa that copies the pic you have cited, unfortunately the only changes that are being debated right now are (A) tapered cuffs. And (B) elasticity being added to the cuffs.

That being said, the digital prints from the developers through my contact show  this as well - however the orginal diagram and the one Wampa made have Velcro straps. So in the meeting this weekend some determinations will need to be done to make this first, easiest to be mass manufactured for all cosplayers, and secondly absolutely correct.

I’m going to be uploading videos by my contact. He has worked with the developers directly.

I received digital cans of the original outfit and a diagram. The one difference that is said was that it was, “skinned dark gray” instead of black like the pilots from Rogue 1 and in the video game, “squadrons.”

Yes - I’m uploading those references and digital videos now.

Looks good, most of the bits would be easy enough to get however those goggles would have to be 3D printed as ATST goggles have rounded edges unless someone can find those exact ones but since it's a game the designers came up with that design and not used a real prop IMHO.

Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

Yes - the goggles will need to be either 3D printed or some other goggles will absolutely have to be altered in order to make that happen correctly.

This is in fact the hardest part of this entire kit to accomplish.

A 3D printing company will need to be researched, contracted and developed in order for mass production to be accomplished for all those who wish to have this created for them.

Hello and welcome to my discussion for a CRL of the Tie Fighter Hanger crew.

Much like the Bridge crew, Death Star crew, scanning crew and finally the mechanic crew - we have the Tie fighter hanger crew according to game, “Star Wars: Squadrons.”

We are first introduced to this class by, “Sergeant Waylin, a Chief Mechanic and head of the hanger crew.” Throughout the entire game on the Imperial’s side of the story plot you interact with this character.

One could say, “than let’s make a CRL for Sergeant Waylin!” That would make sense as well. But it’s the job class that more interesting for a CRL. “Tie Fighter Hanger Crew.”

How would we dress for the CRL?

Sergeant Waylin gives us an appearance which according to close ups on the image seems to be a, “Rogue 1 imperial enlisted flight-suit.” It is gray in contrast to the black cap and black boots he is wearing.

    The outfit would be this

    (1) Charcoal gray R1 (or similar) enlisted flight-suit

    (2) Black officer cap or charcoal gray In color.

    (3) AT-ST Goggles or goggles that are square WW2 aviator type in nature.

    (4) Silver R1 imperial cog patch either (A) Velcro or (B) embroidered.

    (5) 1 code cylinder as (optional) or none at all.

    (6) 1 R1 Imperial compad or (optional.)
    (7) R1 Officer belt with Chicago screw on the left side.
    (8) 1 R1 code box on left side on belt or, (optional.)

    (9) 2 black leather carrying tool bags on belt or, (optional)

    (10) Black leather German jackboots or, a black boat that has calf back strap. Or something that is similar in nature.
    (11) No gloves on hands, or (Optional) Black leather gauntlet gloves.

I hope this post generates good discussion and that we can move this outfit forward.

This would be a comfortable fun and cheaper outfit that is much like the Bridge crew, mechanic crew, or scanning crew.

Look forward to working with you all on getting this passed.

Adding another photo that will be clearer than the original and it’s got sharper quality.

Friends - I’m working on adjusting these from their original format from my iPhone and I’m having struggles.

Regardless I’ll continue to upload more.

These are visual references for what would need to be altered.

    (1) code cylinder as I mentioned above or, (optional.)

    (2) Square goggles or, “mechanics goggles.”

    (3) Code box on belt.

    (4) elastic wrist cuffs on R1 Charcoal  flight suit

    (5) Black boots without German jackboot adjustable strap on top.

And the last pic is to backup (5) or show further evidence. The other pilots in the game have the regular jackboots whereas this outfit does not so it seems. Just black engineer boots without straps.

So no language for the CRL will change, just the photo?  This is what is currently used.

    Scanning crew is different.

    Imperial Communications Pad
    • Rectangular communications pad with buttons and detailing as shown.
    • Compads are not electronically lit.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
    • ROTJ bridge crew shall have a compad.
    • ANH and ESB bridge crew shall not have a compad.

Is there a Compad for ROTJ scanning crew that’s more appropriate?

I’ve been going through this thread and not seeing an exact answer to my question.

    thank you.
