Stand up straight and keep your chin up!  You represent a galaxy-spanning empire! Shrink a little in the presence of Lord Vader, help elevate his menace by appearing unsettled by him. Always keep a lookout.  Your field of vision and hearing is far superior than your helmeted counterparts, so keep a watch for little ones who go in for a hug with a Stormtrooper's legs.  Your fellow troopers will be immensely grateful for it. You are the voice of the 501st.  Be prepared to speak on behalf of Lord Vader or any other Face Character of the Empire who does not wish to speak through their own outfit. If someone seems intimidated or too shy to approach, remember that you're one of the few with the power to smile and seem less threatening. Some in-character lines used on my troops so far:

"Trooper(s)!  This cadet would like a holo with the Empire's finest!"   - A child has approached for a photo opportunity.  Get the trooper's attention along with this line.
"Citizen, are you aware your outfit is in breach of Imperial Law?"       - A child or adult approaches wearing Rebellion symbols and iconography.
"Your support is appreciated, loyal citizen. Remember to keep an eye out for Rebel sympathizers."  - A child or adult approaches wearing Imperial symbols and iconography.
"Send word to the inquisitors!  I found a Jedi!" - A child or adult approaches wielding a Blue/Green/Yellow Lightsaber.
"My lord, we are honored by your presence." - A child or adult approaches wielding a Red Lightsaber.

    Be kind and respectful.

I have seen a lot of interpretation through the years.  MANY.  The only ones that have gotten us in trouble are the ones that are brusk or intolerant.  We know Star Wars forwards and backwards.  There is no guarantee that the people that interact or view us may know anything of who or what we are, so do be cautious.

We are unlike any other costume in the imperial forces, because people get to see our face and that is often the people that they will directly interact with.  More than anyone else we are ambassadors.
