I'm also very interested in this kit. I know IS is making the armor.

Do you think it is a standard Imperial Officer in black under the armor?

I have only done IC/Navy kits before. If you know of a good vendor for the suit, please PM me or LMK.

    Thanks!

Both vendor who makes the best black ISO are waiting due to the tariff :/

Denuo and Wampa are my favorites on that subject.

But i also want this kit badly.

I understand that within canon, they are the high-ranking members of the ISB.

For example, Wulf Yularen holds the rank of General, if I'm not mistaken, so the high-ranking members of the ISB are the ones who wear that ornament.

There is no official CRL for that rank yet. 🤓

Yularen is a Colonel, but yes. A high up.

Wasn't Slavik mentioned in one of the new Thrawn books since Disney took over?  At least I think that's who it was.  I've re-read those books a couple of times and remember named GA's mentioned in them, just figured it'd be feasible they'd have the same uniform.  I figured that's what they basically did when they did the old Grand Admiral-Legends CRL so was hoping maybe they'd talk about doing the same with the new uniform.  I like it's look better. 🤣

I will assume Slavik has the same uniform. But so far on the CRL planning, I have only seen two in the works.

Has there been any discussion to add a generic Imperial Grand Admiral CRL that uses the uniform Thrawn has in Rebels/Ashoka?  This would allow the updated uniform instead of having the Legends only version.  I was curious as I really like the look of the uniform as updated for Thrawn in those.

No so far the only two known ones (Thrawn and Sloane) are getting separated crl as far as I know. But it would be interesting if that happens

If DenuoNovo is not Anovos, then why is the name and website pretty much identical to ANOVOS? Seems to me if one company has nothing to do with another, then their company name wouldn’t even be REMOTELY similar. Seems to me like it is the same company and they just slapped “Denuo” infront of it

Yes and no. Anovos was bought and rebranded and restructuring with the new owners. So DN isn't quite the same. And I never had issues with them since.

As a reminder, DN is NOT Anovos.  They're different companies.  DN bought all of Anovos' contracts, licenses, suppliers, etc., and has been VERY good about keeping up with orders and shipping.  If they don't have it in stock, or won't have in very soon, they don't sell, it's simply listed as out of Stock.  Anovos had a very different business model than Denuo Novo, which is owned by Rubies / NECO.

All that said, yes, I fear tariffs are going to bring some hard times for the costuming community.  I'm pretty sure DN's costumes are manufactured in China, too, so they will not be immune from the current struggles.

Indeed. And deliver exactly what you where promised. I will hand them that.

They're not cheap. The Etsy ones are custom tailored in Pakistan and made from real leather with stiff shafts that only crease at the ankles like authentic riding boots as well as steel shank inserts. Many authentic European riding boot vendors charge upwards of double the cost of these, so 1,200+ in USD. I know a 501st member in the Southern CA Garrison who paid about 1,500$ for Italian made ones and that purchase was made over twenty years ago so I can't fathom what they must cost now.

However, with proper care and a the swapping out of the soles every few years to decade, they could last you a lifetime. You get what you pay for.

Oh I know that. But I got a Noirtide. They are good enough for me. I don't need to fancy.

May I get a link to Outerimprops? Assuming they're still open..
I was unable to find their shop anywhere.

I also had a similar issue with that same holster vendor, only I purchased their Merr-Sonn power 5 holster. In the pictures it looked like a darker chestnut color but it ended up being almost a light poo brown 😅

Luckily for us as Kalani pointed out, leather moisturizers should do easily the trick to darkening them. I'll have to get around to that one of these weekends.
