From left to right: BFII Officer, AT-AT Commander, Imperial Army Assault Trooper (the Commander helmet is used for both the BFII and Commander).

Are these sets available?  Or are they pieced together from different makers?

  2. I have most of the same issues.  As one of those who had hoped to be able to just play the Imperial side on any given map, I was looking forward to an all-Imperial campaign as was hyped.  I even mentioned to coworkers before the game came out that I hoped they wouldn't do what I was suspecting they would, and have the main characters jump ship and join the terrorists.  But alas, that's exactly what they did, and even sooner than I anticipated.

That, and the current lack of character customization are my only main disappointments.

In any case, feel free to join me on PS4 if you like.  I'm "ID-3238".

My code cylinder pockets are just shallow enough to be a problem... the pockets don't go quite deep enough.  The code cylinder sticks out just far enough that the clip (which isn't very strong) doesn't keep it in place well, necessitating frequent adjustment.  I've read others have had this issue as well.  Apparently pretty simple to open the seam at the bottom of the pocket to let it go deeper.  I just haven't done it yet because it's really close, and while occasionally annoying, so far it hasn't annoyed me badly enough that I've made the effort to get the seam ripper off the shelf. ;)

But yes, if he meant just opening a pocket that's sewn too far closed, like they often do with normal suit coats, I concur, that's simply a matter of carefully cutting the threads, just as on on a regular suit.

That's surprising.  My pockets are deep enough to hold actual vintage dosimeters WITH the rubber cap attached. Seems odd that some would have shallower pockets. Maybe they are not pushed down far enough, if that makes sense?  I'd try sticking a cylinder in and then working it around a bit and see if the pocket wasn't just folded in on itself or something.

  4.   The large I got is too large for me, but useable.  Seems way to big for the stated measurement, at least as compared to other hats I have in the same sizing.  I also tried Theresa's medium, and it is pretty  snug, but still useable.  Thinking of looking into having the large modified.  It needs some interfacing anyway, so while I'm at it...

You know, it actually does look pretty good.  Makes me wonder what the Premier looks like, if the Standard is that good.  Those pants look great already, the cut of the tunic looks very nice, really the only thing that could be changed is the sleeve length.  Otherwise, it's good to go!  Looks and sounds like a purchase well worth it.

Properly fit, I would say these are darn near good to go out of the box.  These look really sharp, and I feel would go a long way towards bringing this particular color version of the uniform towards a more uniform appearance across the board if more people go with this.  Black uniforms tend to more or less match in group shots, but I've seen group shots of this version with (for example) 10 different people, and there's 10 different shades of this color in the shot.  I would not be sorry to see this color become "the" standard, though I suppose that might be a bit too draconian, even for us.  I do so love uniformity though.

Going to try and get some good shots of 81510 over the next few days hopefully, cause I'm sure most of you would rather see it on her than on my ugly mug!  I know I would!  Lol. Especially as we've not had a lot of ladies posting up how it looks on them!

Tacblue, is your uniform the Standard or Premier Line?

Standard line.  Got in at the lowest price tier so I figured it was worth a gamble. Seems to have paid off.  My primary ID is a black wool one my coworker made for me many years ago, but this just might supplant it.  This new one is rapidly growing on me.

Yep looks good on you, and you have a push button rank bar i do love those, If it was my uniform i would have the sleeves taken up a tad but thats just me

Oh yes, there's still quite a few spots I need to have a tailor attend to. Sleeves, collar, modesty panel, lower torso, waistband, etc...  But after getting it pressed, I think it will need less work than I thought when it was still all wrinkly and creased. I am definitely liking the color though.  Happy to say it definitely changes color to match all the different shades we've seen in the different screenshots with lighting changes.

Rank bar was made by a popular maker on these boards, the code cylinders are genuine Stephens, and the belt was made by me.  Not really digging the Anovos belt.

So I received the Line officer uniform for my wife, overall impression is good.  Luckily it fits her perfect and no tailoring will be needed.  Just need to get her some boots, rank and code cylinders and she'll be ready to join the 501st.

Agreed.  Theresa ID- 81510 got one as well, and it's a near perfect fit.  I'd post a pic but she's shy.  Doesn't think she looks good in the pics...  My impression is that if it fits you out of the box, it's almost perfectly good to go, short of the modesty panel.

I have a medium hat and may be interested in trading for the large.

PM if you decide you want the large.  I'm having it dry cleaned and pressed along with the uniform at the moment, and will get it back on Friday.

The pockets being stitched is a common practice just take a small pair of nail scissors and open them

Already done.  Just funny one was shut completely and the other only opened enough for a single cylinder.  Would think they'd both been fully closed.  Ah well...

  11. Just tried mine out... not too bad at all, overall.  I am liking the color, texture and weight.  Sizing seems a little off, as I have a 32 waist, and got the medium pants, and there's enough space to fit my entire arm bewteen my waist and the waistband of the pants...  the large jacket fits well across the shoulders but is much too voluminous in the lower torso.  But I knew that would be the case going in. Anything that fits my waist and lower torso well tends to end up too tight in the chest and shoulders, so I figured get a size up and tailor down.  Looks like I'll have to do the pants as well, which I was hoping to avoid.  One oddity is that the code cylinders pockets are both mostly still stitched shut.  I could only get one cylinder in the left breast pocket, and none in the right side one.

The belt...ehhh...  I prefer the one I made.  This belt, while very professionally finished, just feels kind of cheap for some reason.

Overall, nothing a good tailor can't fix, I hope anyway...  had hoped for less alterations being necessary, but so it goes.

The hat seems way oversized to me, and there's not much I can have done there I guess, besides buy a new one.  If anyone got a medium hat, and feels it to be too small for comfort and would like to trade for a large, please let me know.  The shape seems to be ok though, overall.  At least on mine.  Definitely needs a pressing.

All in all, since I got in at the lowest pricing tier, it was definitely worth it, in spite of the alterations I will need to have done.  Great color and texture.  I can see the potential once properly fitted and pressed.

  12. Personally, I like the Clothears color in that pic you posted.  It seems to match the ANH uniforms better.  This Anovos green, especially the Premier Line version (as seen in pics in this thread) just doesn't look right to me.  Hopefully it'll be better than the MuR...  I was never able to duplicate that brownish green tint with it no matter what lighting it was under.  Although, at least the RotJ uniforms do seem to be that green.  Guess we'll see IF my standard line ever shows... lol  I just have to laugh about it at this point. And the wait continues...  sighhhhh
