The one on the cover you posted is, I think the same as the other examples.  From the RPF discussion, it appears there were no "hero" (i.e. functional) Power 5s made; all were resin castings.  Alternate views of Leia's publicity shots show the trigger area better, and you can see it's a resin cast like a Doopy, as the area behind the trigger is filled in.  The t-track and antennas are present as well.  That's why the flash hider appears to be off-center of the barrel.  At distance and/or in low-res, the track appears to be part of the barrel, producing the optical illusion of the offset flash hider.  I OUGHT to take some pics of the one I made, to illustrate better.  Maybe once I get home from work...  mine isn't perfect though, as I used an airsoft M712 as the base for mine, instead of a proper C96, since I wanted a blaster that shoots.  I also used a flash hider with holes in it.  To be accurate I should have used a resin one that had the imprints for the holes, but wasn't drilled through.

Haven't had any issue with the track or antennae falling off during trooping myself, either on my "hero" or "stunt" versions.  Rather, the little piece the coiled wire goes into LOVES detaching itself, and I end up with a dangler.  Lol  Eventually I'll try and do another one to correct all the little inaccuracies that the two I've done have.

I believe it is his kit. Great stuff! There's also a very good 3D printed kit from shapeways available as well that I used on a previous build.

At for t track, AFAIK it was not present on any of the source material that I could find (and would only fall off constantly when unholstering/holstering anyway). It is present on the hero ANH DL-44 8) This one in my all metal Denix/DEC kit version

Over on the RPF there is a 300 some-odd page thread on the Solo blaster.  Somewhere within there, they also talk about the Power 5.  T-track and antennae were present on the Power 5.  This pic is from the discussion.  Hard to see, but they are there.

  3. Just going to keep waiting myself. Got a standard line on order, simply because it was so cheap at the time. I believe it will show up eventually. In the meantime I've got other stuff to wear. It was only ever going to be an extra outfit for me anyway.

  4. The old West End Games rpg stuff had a lot of expanded info on the Army. I posted some of it from the Death Star Technical Manual in another thread, and the Imperial Sourcebook had some good stuff as well.

  5. As I recall as far as prototype pics went, the Premium Line or whatever it's called had a panel, but the Standard line did not. I remember this because once they posted the standard line pics, I was surprised to see that it was lacking a panel when the other version had one.

  6. Well, the color of the uniform in the Launchbay photos seems to be a better color than the prototype photos and the prototype I saw at Celebration, though obviously that's at least partially up to lighting etc.

I would not at all be surprised if the final product is somewhat different than the prototype, hopefully in a better way, although I do suspect they might cheap out on the standard line in areas like the modesty panel...

  7. Also interesting that the prototype for the Premier had a panel whereas the Standard didn't, at least when it first went up. I'm assuming that will continue to hold true. As far as a white

Interior, maybe it's a dickie-type thing? Seems to me I read or heard somewhere that they modeled it after Tarkin's uniform, thus the visible white cuffs inside the sleeves.

Since I went standard line, I'm planning to cut a bit of material off the bottom of the leg to make a panel.

  8. That flap has been stiched on upside down if it was pulled up the lining would be on show as evident in the picture

Yeah, they totally goofed on that rear flap. Inside out and in the wrong position. And yet... I STILL like it better than the FO officer hats!

    LOL

  9. After seeing the first trailer, I was not particularly engaged. Unsurprising since it didn't really show much. After seeing the second trailer, I had high hopes. After seeing the picture of Emo/ Goth looking unmasked Kylo Ren in front of the two snowtroopers, the bottom totally dropped out of my high hopes. Sigh. Quite a rollercoaster ride of emotion.

  10. I am going to take a guess and say it is a placeholder of some sort. This picture has surfaced before. None of the line officers ever had a holster. The holster here is believe to have been added by the museum staff.

Veers had a holstered sidearm when he was in armor, but it wasn't a holster like that...

  11. You are correct about the asymmetry of the heat sinks. My resin "stunt" version (what I call it) I made symmetrical, but the "hero" airsoft version I am making I am doing the proper asymmetrical offset. It looks bizzare, but according to all reference photos I've seen, it's correct... Don't know why they didn't just slide the disc down a bit to make room...
