I hate that I'm a sucker for stuff like this LOL

    Just ordered two.

Fingers crossed that the "coffee" writing can be removed!

It can’t be removed unless you sand the whole thing and repaint it. It is etched.   I just masked off the area around it and painted it black.  It’s good enough for my eye and at a distance it will be unnoticed.

If this is indeed the cup, I wonder how the prop folks covered up the coffee etch.

  2. I think this is it:

We are pretty sure Commandant Beehaz's cup is the 17oz version that can be found

    Silver strip

There is a smaller 13oz cup that may be Col. Petigar's cup (we aren't 100% sure)

Note the indentation on the side of the cup.  I believe this cup has two indentations, one on each side. There are other cups on Amazon that have 4 indentations. Judging from this photo, I believe there are only 2.
In the Andor trailer, if the cup had 4 indentations, you would be able to see at least two in based on the angle shown.

I'll post as many references as I can this weekend.

I would not mind seeing the version three and a straight pants version stand along as a non saga ISB to be in line with our security services and military uniforms.  it would complete the set of the available uniforms for the new Disney era costumes.

PLUS, honestly, the only real outlier here is the ANH tunic. ANH has both straight leg and jodhpurs to set precedent already.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here.

    Following your logic, we:

    -preserve V1 and V2.

-Give V3 its own Non Saga CRL, and make V1 jodhpurs, and V2 straight leg/chelsea boots.

  4. Will we see a straight leg/Chelsea boot version?
Because that’s the big difference between V1 and V2 which are both ANH.  I’d love to see that into a non saga ISB.

Some folks simply cannot wear riding boots.  This would be a great option for them, too!

  5. I had it in my head that we were going to wait till Andor to do “non saga/saga” like we did with the Line Officers.
But trooping last weekend, I had a lot of fun promoting myself from inspector general, to colonel, to director and using that to play off the kids that noticed.
It got me thinking, “why do we need an on screen rank for ISB?” The answer is we don’t based on being consistent with black and green tunics.
If someone wants to be a L3 ANH ISB with no codies and funky tunic, let them.  Let’s do a non saga ISB CRL.
Can we isolate V1 and V2 to “ANH ISB” and break out V3 into its own “non saga ISB” CRL?

  6. I predate the CRLs.  I’m starting my 18th year in the Legion in January.
We made the best decisions with what we could see.
When I see the picture of this outstanding costume, we should be asking people to prove how it’s NOT accurate.

spoiler: they won’t be able to.  That makes it screen accurate.  The discussion should end right there since we aren’t going for “prop accuracy” like some of the amazing, but clinically insane (much love to you, Fetts!) Boba Fetts who track down original pieces and don’t use any reproduction pieces.

Look at the ANH costumes.  Those F451 things, etc.

    The CRL can change.
We aren’t lowering our standards.  Nobody out there in the general public gives a crap about princess seams and most of them don’t couldn’t even tell you what they are.  Approximately 98% of all non legion people I’ve asked over the years done even realize Vader’s costume was different in every movie.  You think potential seams barely visible not shown on screen on the back of a costume is what’s gonna hurt the credibility and reputation of the legion?

Not as much as this, quite frankly, “weird flex” attempt at elitist gate keeping.
Are we doing this for us, or for them?
Perfect is the enemy of good.
