I just ordered one myself after seeing those photos. Thanks, Richard!

Sherry, if you are in contact with your local GML, send them the link to these boots and they might give them the OK.
-
-
The boots look right, but there's an odd logo that appears to be stitched on them.
-
Give us an update once it arrives, and a work in progress would be nice.

I was wearing my Bridge Crewman uniform at an event in downtown Akron and more than a few folks asked if I was a security guard.
-
I bought one too, I'm happy with it but I plan to order one of the custom hats offered by the Vendors that advertise on the Forum.
-
It looks kinda wonky to me.
-
No problem, Sir!

You need to ask for 501st access if you have an approved 501st costume, then the Admins will grant you access to the Merch thread.
-
I believe you have to be a member of the 501st to be able to order patches.

I've heard that some dry cleaners can steam and starch hats, but I have yet to find one.

The third would be the Imperial Gunner Corps.

Ebay has a seller offering 2 XL Museum Replicas hats for the price of 1. See Matt's post number 3 for more info.
-
Richard, what is your hat size?
-
You're right about the Museum Replicas hat Phil, I'm still working on smoothing the wrinkles out of mine. But I was lucky enough to pick it up on the cheap. It'll be my "Field Cap" when I order and receive a hat from Sewing Jenny.
-
With a bit of luck you can find surplus Museum Replica hats on Ebay, they meet the 501st standards for approval.
-
I'm going to start saving my Imperial Credits now!
-
If they're pvc rubber boots, your feet will sweat like crazy.
-
Looks like there's a few new armored Troopers in the trailer, too.
-
Sad news indeed.
-
Sebastian, the great thing about this initial build is that I can also use the basic kit to get approved as a AT-ST Driver. So even if I don't get the Imperial Army Trooper approved, I can always join the Armored Cavalry.

I like the idea of printing up parts for a blaster build, but I don't think I could justify spending the bucks for a printer. Are there places that you can go to and have things printed up?

$280 for used boots does sound a bit steep to me.
