Kris, I saved the Star Destroyer to my files, and it has the name Matt Bradbury  on it. His illustrations can be found on Wookiepedia.

Off topic but where did that Star destroyer pic come from?

So have any of the images that have been posted come from officially authorized Star Wars publications?

I am 100% right there with you in regards to ground fighting versus space fighting. Dogfighting and capitol ships are awesome, of course, but I prefer watching the footsloggers duke it out on Terra Firma. I'm excited to see whatever they come up with for the First Order, but I am absolutely NOT happy with how that 4-legged Walker looked on Starkiller base. That thing looks like somebody just chopped the head and neck off an AT-AT and crudely shoved a couple gun barrels in the bloody stump. 10/10 NOT ok with that thing.

In regards to the chances of seeing a lengthy ground battle in Rogue One I would be very surprised if we see much in the way of a large force-on-force ground conflict in the new movie. With it being about the theft of the Death Star plans I'm very much expecting it to be a small squadron infiltrating an area, getting detected just as they're about to get away clean, and getting stuck-in fighting against hordes of Imperials. Things will look grim until Rebel flyboys come in and save the day. I would imagine we might see an AT-AT and AT-ST or two but I'd be vey surprised if it's anything more than that. If we see any NEW technology though I'll be sorely disappointed. The Empire has a  massive and devastating arsenal of established ground vehicles to choose from so, if they wind up just making some stuff up, I'd be peeved. Here's hoping that, if there are big forces, they put in the 5 seconds of work it would take to check out Wookieepedia and get some unused or obscure vehicles to use (Juggernauts and AT-PTs please! None of that garbage from Rebels!).

August, you're right about the over use of Stormtroopers, but I'm hoping that they'll at least show some Armored Cav types (AT-AT, AT-ST, etc.). In episode 7 you can see new AT-AT vehicles in the big speech scene before the planets are blown up. So that gives me a little hope for more goodies in the next film.

Great to see another future Armored Cav member in the works, I'm going for an AT-ST Driver. Going to be ordering my bucket next month. Scouts out!

Good info here! I already signed up on the ACD forums a while ago to look around. I'm aiming for an AT-AT commander once I finish my Line Officer and once I have a little bit more time to devote!

Greg my only concerns with that is that I strongly believe that, for all intents and purposes, the powers that control Star Wars have given up the ghost on trying to have anything but Stormtroopers be the ground-pounders of the Empire by now. I think that we'll mostly be seeing different alien soldiers represented through the Rebel Alliance and that, if we see any new soldiers, it'll more than likely be new variations of Stormtroopers.

Space battles are fine and dandy, but I'm a ground pounder. I'll stick with Armor, Cavalry, and Infantry. Rogue One sounds like my kind of movie.

You might wait until after Rogue One is released this December. It's being described as the "Black Hawk Down" of the Star Wars universe - very combat oriented.

Apparently the 822nd Imperial Medical Corps is a group of 501st members who are certified/licensed medical professionals. From what I could tell, there are no geographic limitations, as a member of the Nordic Garrison is a member of the 822nd as well. This seems like a really cool group, and once my ID is approves and I become part of the 501st, and once I finish my EMT certification I'm hoping to join them as well!

Now we just need to make some sort of medic uniform approvable......

Yeah, the EMT angle makes sense. On his 501st profile it states that he was a Medic in the Military. I'll try to get in touch with him and get more info. In the meantime, I'm wondering how many different examples of Imperial Troopers are needed in order to be considered as a 501st approved costume?

August, there's a member of the Central Garrison that is a member of the "822nd Imperial Medical Corps".  Member profile DZ-90484. He might have info on Imperial Medics to share.

Jake, I can only comment on a Bridge Crew impression. This is roughly what I've spent for the following:

    Flight Suit: 120.00
    Hat: 50.00
    Gloves: 50.00
    Belt/buckle: 60.00
    Com Pad: 25.00
Boots: ( haven't located, prices range from 75.00 used to 150.00)

So you're looking at around $400 plus for a basic Bridge Crew kit. It might be lower if you can sew and find a good pattern for the hat and flight suit. Others may have had better luck finding items for less, but I'd bet that those prices reflect an average cost per item.

So it looks like the basic Imperial Trooper wears the same gear as a AT-ST driver, with the addition of a blaster and some leather belt pouches. That makes things easier for me if a green jumpsuit isn't required. But I agree, that medic impression is a great idea. August, you deserve a medal for all of the info you've found.

I'll probably try to go for the Naval variant first, as it'd be easier with what I already have, but once I finish the armored Veers I think I'll go for the Army medic as well.

I have a nearly complete Line Officer uniform, so I'd "just" need to get the backpack, bandoleer, etc for the Naval Medic. Once I have the Veers armor, I can convert the cosplaysky tunic and jodhpurs to the medic variant, as I plan on getting a Magnoli uniform some time in the future!

I'm definitely going to go for a medic after I finish my armored veers (which may take a pretty long time!)
