  1. About the CRL; when this topic was started, we'd only seen Dr Pershing and the one cloning scientist from the first season of the Bad Batch.

A year and a half later and we got to see more animated medical technicians. These costumes are totally different from what we had seen back when the topic was started.

I believe that Doctor Pershing should have a seperate CRL. Not only is he a hero character, but the other costumes are completely different. A generic Medical Technician is no longer an option.

If we compare Pershing to the first animated medical technician there are a couple of differences; animated has two large patches instead of one smaller patch, animated collar and belt have extra details, animated wears gloves.

The concept art costume shown on starwars.com is from a background scientist. This is a completely different pattern. Nowhere close to that of Doctor Pershing.

Animated costumes are a whole different group of costumes and should not be in the same CRL as Dr Pershing.

  2. With the possibility of a separate R1 ISB CRL, can we add the poncho as an optional accessory?

The rain poncho is an optional accessory to the none-R1 line officer and for the standard black officers. Since the white poncho does appear on screen, it would be a wonderful accessory for the other ISB officesrs next to Krennic.

  3. With all the new movies, comics, animated shows and games coming up the list of canon and on screen rank badges will keep growing.

Writers, game developers, animators and costume designers for these project don't seem to be restricted by the rules we have in our CRL. Why should we? As long as we don't get 3 rows, weird colors, stuff like that... We can make the CRL a lot simpler and more fun for us.

  4. Hi all, I'd like to propose the following CRL. I've been working on a generic Rogue One ISB Officer based on Bozeden Jeems as seen in the visual guide. Since Jeems is wearing the same costume as Krennic does in his Flashback scene I think generic ISB officers could be added to the reference library just like the ANH ISB officer based on Yularens uniform.

    CRL Suggestion

    Imperial Hat, black
    For 501st approval:

    • Fabric is a medium weight suiting material matching the pants and tunic if applicable.
      • Gabardine style weave is most accurate.
    • Base of the hat is conical, with a crown about 4" (101.6 mm) tall.
    • Front and rear "flaps" overlap on the sides and are about 4" (101.6 mm) high.
    • Front bill extends 3" down, decorated with 6 or 7 concentric stitches.
    • Imperial Code Disk is positioned in the center of the front vertical flap.

For level two certification (if applicable):
    • Code Disk has a notch detail on the outermost disk.

For level three certification (if applicable):
    • Code disk exactly matches screen-used prop.

    • There is a seam running the entire circumference of the tunic, dividing it along a line hidden by the uniform belt.
    • The back of the tunic has princess seams that run vertically and turn outward to intersect the arm-hole seam at the vertical center.

For level three certification (if applicable):
    • Tunic must be secured on the right side by snaps or buttons, not Velcro. There is no topstitching visible anywhere and it must have a lining sewn in.

    For 501st approval:
    • The belt is constructed from a non-textured leather or leather-like material.
    • It is approximately 2" (50.8mm) tall.
    • The belt is loopless.
    • A single large snap or rivet is visible approximately 1" (25.4 mm) from the buckle.
    • The belt is worn with the snap on the left of the wearer.

Of course, main question is, would my costume be approvable as a generic Rogue One ISB officer?
