Glad to see there are folks working on Kallus! I'm going to make one too and can't wait to see more progress photos pop up.

Wow, that was really cool! Nice to see it attached on costume.
Now go and make it as android-based.
This.

If? If? It's now a matter of when
Actually I have a guy in my garrison that offered to make me one but our schedules just haven't lined up to pull it off. Plus with the other 3 unfinished projects that I currently have I'm not in a hurry to take on 1 more .

That came out great!

I love scratch-built stuff like this!!! I'll have to remember this if I ever get a Gunner helmet for my IC.
-
Congrats! Got any pics of the finished product?

There really isn't a generic non-character classification in the Legion. Even though Jawas and Tuskens aren't exactly a "specific" character they are a species that played a part in the movies. Any humans that didn't have a part in the movies were typically just background fill.
Here's a question though... If you're not planning on trying to submit it for either group what does it matter? Don't let the fact that people think you're a Rebel stop you from wearing it. People confuse TIE Pilots and Gunners for Darth Vader all the time, so don't let it bother you .

Power tools like a jig saw can get away from you too easily and even a Dremel has it's limits. It may not be the easiest approach but sometimes clamping the metal down to a piece of scrap wood and using a hand saw is the best way.

I think for the most part the forum is pretty straight forward. Some things have been moved around and added over the past year to facilitate that.
Maybe move the CRL's into their appropriate sections of the Costuming area would help too. Put them as a sticky up top so it's easier to find.
I think maybe changing the IOC Members Only section to 501st Members section would be a start. Inside of the 501st Members section you have an area for IOC discussions that only IOC members can access.

Yeah the Revolutionary and Civil War stuff is pretty popular but not much from earlier in time than that.
-
It would definately help with organizing activities at cons since just about everyone with a cell phone can get to FB and accessing the boards doesn't work, unless you have a smartphone anyway.

Happy New Year IOC!!!!!
-
Congrats on getting married and good luck with your move!

Just wanted to share my Christmas card and say that I hope everyone has a great holiday and best wishes to you all in the new year!

The Imperial COG is always popular as a basic SW tattoo. I don't have any yet myself but I'm going to start by getting a COG with IC-7796/Crewman next to it. Then I plan on continuing that theme every time I complete and receive approval of a new costume, just change the logo and designation each time.

The armor is really bad, from Rubies parts to... well missing parts .
It was just done by a bunch of college kids. Not bad for a low-budget fan film, but they're not going to be winning any awards anytime soon either.

I can see how at a quick glance that would look like her but the Frankenstein head gives him away.

Wirla
you would need to be a member of the 501st and be granted access to the JRS Base Exchange. That may take a weekend given that this is a holiday.
Unless they have changed the membership rights in the last 2 months you don't need to be a 501s member to access the Exchange, a cadet can see the section too. I haven't logged in for a while now but that's where I found the hat source, patches, and a couple of other things I needed 'before' getting 501st approval. I believe you have to be 501st to post in the threads but not to see them.

If you haven't already, signup on the TIE pilot boards too (Jolly Roger Squadron).
There is someone over there that offers a cap. You will need to get a greeblie for it if you don't have one already.

I paid them to commission an item to be made by them...
...the item in question was a code cylinder lol... made out of a chalk holder lol....
What do you mean you "paid them to commission an item"? Did you try to have something special made? Don't they offer code cylinders already?
Not trying to sounds harsh here but if you knew what they were made from why would you go through the trouble of getting some "commissioned" as you said? Even if you couldn't find the chalk holders locally and had to order them online you could have made your own in less time than you spent sending e-mails to SDC. Not to mention for less money too.

Welcome to my world I only make pepakura items for costumers and cosplayers I'm also thinking about making a pepakura rank bar but thats only a possibility since I would have to have a 3d artist make the 3d file first before I can make the pepakura file but it would be accurate.
Rank bars are relatively cheap to make. It would probably be less expensive and easier to make one compared to getting the resin and paint for a pepakura version. The only hard part is getting the buttons on straight before glueing them down.

Well Jedi Outcast if you need a Clone Helmet I have a Episode 2 and 3 Helmet if you want to build one it would not be very hard to make as for my armor files for a Clone I'm considering no even trying to build the rest but I will try to find my image of the paper helmet after I fiberglassed and painted it.
Thanks but I've already got the helmet and armor covered, just waiting for them to arrive.
-
I've got:
Imperial Crewman = Done and 501st approved
TIE Pilot = Still trying to finish painting the helmet and armor but it's all assembled
CW Clonetrooper = In process of aquiring helmet and armor
-
Does that include Anakin after he was dubbed "Darth Vader" by Sidious in ROTS?
Good point. You would have to count the Younglings in the Jedi Temple and Seperatist leaders on Mustafar too.
