  1. I've scoured the entire forum to no avail...

My Garrison is in search of a CRL-acceptable pants pattern for our tailor as she is not experienced with modifying from an original pattern. Anyone with already modified patterns or made for other 501st members willing to share? PM me please if you prefer keeping your stuff private.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Hi all, I'm about to buy this pair of boots but I'd like to know if it passes CRL standards. I don't know what material it is except that it's not real leather. It could be PVC, I can't tell. I've gone through most boot threads and there's no definite answer if PVC/ pleather is allowed.

Side view: (I've been told the little knob near the ankle is probably background debris)

This is how it looks like when worn. Is it too shiny?

If passes, good enough for L3? Any opinion is greatly appreciated.

  3. Clicking in unison is one thing but how about the normal walking of many officers? *click* *click* *click* *click* *click* Would it drive you insane if you were a pit officer and working?

I also hear that having metal makes the boots soles last longer, is that true?

  4. I'm still looking for boots that fit me and are L3 and this came to me one night, do you think imperial officers would wear boots with metal heels on a star destroyer...or even bridge? I imagine it would be quite noisy if every one did.

Honestly I'm rather fond of the sounds lol but would it seem proper for an officer who is at the bridge most of the time? Vader appears to like his peace...

Also I hear that the metal are slippery and raises the risk of falling on tiled floors etc?

  5. Hm, more costumes to pick from but the Empire is no longer there, what would be considered 501st...?

Yea Disney's had a few movie flops, I really hope they don't turn SW into something I no longer like. Wonder if GL would have to pay his ex-wife for the new movies.

  6. I'd like to know how much flexibility everyone has while trooping as an ID. When I troop usually there are group photos or scenes that require bending/ kneeling. I'm finding that my current MuR pants makes it *really* hard to kneel or bend down. It gets tight at the knee area and calves.

My previous non-MuR ID (black fleet) had the same problem but the pants (leg area) wasn't as tight as MuR's. I'm using elastic straps to keep the pants inside the boot and prevent them from bunching up in both costumes.

Is there anyone else having the same problem, or does anyone have a solution?
