I dont believe those hats are the Anovos hats. They look similar to the ones I took pictures of a few months ago that I found at Epcot. The price is the same as the ones I found a few months ago, that is why my assumption is they are not the Anovos hats.
Edit
Looking back at my pics from the other hats a few months ago, there are differences between the two, mostly the detail of the code disk and how it is attached. If those hats at the Launchbay are the standard line Anovos hats, there is going to be a lot of unhappy people.

I really hope those aren't the Anovos ones, because there should not be any top stitching on the ridge of the front and back flaps. I wonder if those are just the same caps they had over at Epcot that I took a picture of a few months ago.

You know, that color looks to be pretty damn good.

What Kris said. I'm not a fan of the way they are doing business, but I bought a Line Officer when they were on sale on May 4th. Sadly, we are ALL waiting on them to deliver their Star Wars stuff. And now it would seem that Disney is getting first dibs on what is being produced by them. Makes me wonder when we will eventually see our stuff.
-
Well they got the colors from the German uniforms, but certainly not the design. I know of no WW2 German uniform that has the design of the Star Wars uniforms.
I notice in the 2nd picture, the officer on the right has a collar which seems very much like the one seen on General Hux. Makes me wonder if that may be a preview of what his uniform is going to look like.

The rank bar is definitely buttons. And I would swear it almost looks like it is sewn on. You can almost see some tiny bit of thread coming out of one side.

The last news letter they put out said they were still scheduled for Dec/Jan release.

So I was at Epcot the other day in one of the stores and spotted some black officer caps for sale. These are not MuR or Anovos caps, but made by another source, apparently for Disney.
They need some de-wrinkling but honestly they are pretty decent. They are only one size and the disc would probably need to be swapped out for a different one. But I like the fact that it has the ridge detail on the flaps of the cap. The price was pretty nice too, if memory serves me it was $24.99.

I sort of agree, Ingo. I can see having the coat in the scene where he is addressing the troops outside in the snow. But why the over-coat inside what I take to be a star destroyer or the base on the planet? Maybe General Hux just has a flair for fashion? lol

Yeah I'm not a big fan of their business model either. The emails they have since started putting out has only reinforced this feeling. But alas, we are kinda stuck.
-
I will wait till it goes on sale on Steam. lol
-
They wont match the Cosplay ones.
Good find though.
-
Man you have bad luck. I bought a large one from the vendor too, and the disk is fine and centered. It is very wrinkly though, but they come all folded up for shipping. Some good steaming and placement on a mannequin head should help it out.
-
Next time I see you Mike, I will take a look at it for you.
-
Nope, I've had my MuR hat for a few years now and haven't had any problems with the disk.
-
They are good quality. If you have the chance, I would say pick it up, especially if it is an olive one. Not to say that their olive ones were better quality then the black ones, just that they had nailed the color of the olive uniform better then anyone else has so far, in my opinion. Just remember though that since they were all standard size jackets and pants, you may have to have them tailored to get that form-fitted look.

The code cylinders. In fact I think BJ had a pair that tarnished quite a bit.
-
I had one of there code cylinders and they're not too bad, but their are better ones available here.
Agreed Phil. They are ok, but not great. But they are also far better then what I have seen many officers using. Sadly, I have heard some people having some issues with tarnishing of the MuR code cylinders.
-
I'd go small then. If worse comes to worse and it is too tight, you can always wear it up a little higher on the head and it wont look bad. If the hat is too large, it is a little harder to fix. And if for whatever reason it still doesn't fit, you might be able to offer it up for trade. Someone on the boards might have a medium that doesn't fit them and they were wishing they had a small.
-
Hm. So you're saying neither Sm or Lr will likely fit me well?
How much hair do you have? If you have a lot of hair, you might want to go large. Otherwise stick with the small.
-
Phil, in the past I would have agreed with you about going down a size. But the last few people who I know who got MuR hats say that the sizing was spot on. I'm thinking they may have fixed their sizing issue prior to them losing the contract.
As Phil did say, these were the best and most accurate caps you could get at the time. MuR lost the contract and now Anovos has it. Now I would say that Anovos has the most accurate hats available, except no one actually has one of their hats yet. lol

When Museum Replica's had the contract for Star Wars costumes I had a chance to talk to them at Dragon Con one year. They stated that the reason why their rank bars came with double-sided tape was because that was what they found on the rank bars that were in the Lucas Archives. I've never been to the Archives so I can't say if that is really what they found, but that is what they said.

I use a combination of one of the small Taskforce bins (I think it is a 20gal bin) and a suit bag. I keep my boots, belt, rank items, and some hygiene and costume repair stuff in the bin. I then carry the uniform itself in a suit bag.
I share the bin with my girlfriend, who does a Gunner. Her helmet fits in the bin and she just carries her jumpsuit on a coat hanger.
