Strongbow reacted to Mitthrawnuruodo in Clone Wars tv show vs THE clone wars tv show
Both shows were absolutely fantastic. They're the reason why I wanted to be a Clone Trooper (Hardcase).
The 2003 is a bit over the top on scale of droids, troopers, ships, etc. and make the Jedi into super heroes, but the stories and action were superb.

Strongbow reacted to CrashedATAT in Eyeglasses
For myself, I never wear my glasses in costume. I’d normally wear them all the time, but I just make do in costume - lenses freak me out a bit!

Strongbow reacted to DarthFunk83 in Strongbow's Code Cylinder Tutoral
Thanks Strongbow!! I haven't tried making the code cylinders yet. I'm just waiting for the chalk holders to get here. They should arrive either this week or the next.

Yes, soon. But when that happens, I'll post in the appropriate section.

I've been meaning to do this for a couple years. These are modified RA Stephens 6665-0055 dosiemters. I modified to closely resemble the 6665-110101 dosimeters. The top is machine off, the viewing lens is removed and machined down, and then reinserted. The top insert is a resin cast of an actual 6665-110101 dosimters, painted to resemble the original. In the pic below, I have a number modified to look like the version with the "gold" colored clip (the original is a steel clip with a treatment that gives them the slight gold sheen). I just gave them a gold spray paint hit, and distressed them to resemble the original. The one in the center is an original 6665-110101 for comparison. I also made one with the white metal clip (cleaned up the original a bit) to match the Rogue One cylinders, and then I did three with the red cap, like Cassian Andor has. I have a small cache of these 0055 cylinders, and I'll modifying the others fairly soon. Cheers.

Strongbow got a reaction from skelitor120 in Anovos Line Officer (Standard Line) Uniform Initial Review
The fabric is right. I've handled an original costume (many years ago) and I just received my Anovos Premium Hat. The actual uniforms were made of a fabric known as "cavalry twill." It's a kind of double knit fabric. It has some stretch to it. It is pretty thick, which gives it a lot of body and makes it very durable, but makes it rather warm. The Anovos cap is a nice cavalry twill (or something very close). Gaberdine is a reasonable substitute, properly interfaced.
