Reading their Facebook page.
They are offering two versions, "standard" and "premiere".
They are going to be selling rank bars & hats separately.
They haven't figured out pricing yet.

Looks amazing. Probably cost a pretty penny.

Hey everybody. At the last Celebration in Florida I saw this panel but didn't get to catch it. It was talking about Star wars and historical influences. I knew they had a website but didn't know if the panelists or the website was still around.

I think it depends. When I ordered my Hobbit costume from them it was about a month and half but I've heard folks get their costumes in less time.

Those look super. Nice find.

Late to the party, but those should fit you well. By the time you add your pants and tall socks they should fit perfect. I always recommend a tall pair of socks.

Realistically boots can be stretched 1 maybe 1 1/2" at the most. Depends on the leather quality. I know a local cobbler says stretching too much ruins the leather. Plus leather will stretch within reason. Best to get as close to your calf size as possible. Justin showed you the link to ridersmall. They have a variety of sizes, and if you had to go the more expensive route, their semi-customs are actually not a bad price point.

You have to look up jodphur "old style" or "flare". Riding breeches were flared out like that because fabric did not stretch, so it allowed the rider more freedom in the saddle. I guess we associate this style more with cavalry riders, but men/woman riders wore this style, until the invention of stretch fabrics. Now jodhpurs are traditionally worn by young girls until they graduate to tall boots and start wearing regular breeches and they don't flare anymore.
Suitability used to make a pattern, 2056. They don't sell it anymore sadly, but maybe an email to Suitability may yield results. They may have some left over in stock or if enough people contact them, maybe they'd do another run of the pattern.

My friend was lucky, he didn't have to do any modifications when he got his cosplay sky uniform. His mom ordered it for him for his 18th birthday in December and he got it in Feb. I ordered a Bilbo Baggins costume and I had the same turnaround.
I think the flares could be stiffer, but other than that I think it came out pretty good.
The Cosplay Sky is the black one. Mine is from a person who I think is now MIA on the boards.

I wear these. http://www.ridersmall.com/main/boots/Tall/men/Decent_Men_Dressage_boots_wobz.html
A lot of equestrian companies don't make a pull on boot anymore.
Depending on your calf size, don't be afraid of ordering a woman's boot. Just make sure you add 2 to your foot size. So if you wear a size 8 get a woman's size 10. There is no difference in the way they make a woman boot vs a man's boot. I think usually sometimes they might be slightly taller. Just look at the size chart.
SmartPak.com has a full refund policy on sized items and they offer free returns. So if doesn't fit you can send it back.
Dover.com has an interesting refund policy. They will take any thing back. My friend works at one of their stores and she said this girl returns $900 pair of boots every 2 years. She says "they are defective" but really she's just getting a new pair of boots. They don't ask questions. Sometimes they won't refund the full value if its damaged. I returned a pair of boots I rode in for 8 months after the zipper completely died.

This company makes a nice tall boot. They offer semi-custom on the calfs. I think your calf is slightly too big for the instock. Good customer service. I actually wear these boots when I ride more than my expensive customs. http://www.ridersmall.com/main/boots/Tall/men/Decent_Men_Dressage_boots_wobz.html#sizing

Thanks ya'll. Now I'm working on my musical freestyle to Star Wars music. There is an ovarian cancer research benefit horse show in Sept. So trying to get that ready. Imperial March matches my mare's canter. And whenever that song plays she gets more power in her canter. The lady who helped me played it watched me and said yup. That's it. Matches her bpm and her personality. lol. Should be fun.

My friend hosted an all side saddle show with costume classes. First time I wore it in public. Didn't wear the jodphurs stuck to normal riding breeches. Still need to tinker with a few things before I submit it to my Garrison. Belt was way too big, was fine in saddle, but need to fix it when I'm walking. And I just realized I put the rank bar on wrong. Despite it being 90 degrees and humid it was surprisingly not that bad to wear. My normal riding jacket was far hotter. She's hosting another show in Sept. May have to work on a matching apron.

In regards to quality Koenigs are one THE best brands of riding boots. They are really expensive though. And comfort wise, from friends who have them they are made out of really STIFF leather and the break in period apparently is painful.

They look fine. What brand are they?

You said you ordered Ovations? Really look at the leather when you get them. I actually went to a tack shop today. I know my customs will pass, but I don't want to use my Dehners for the 501st. They were 1/2 off so they would be $80, but they were for sale for a reason. Very disappointed. If you get the pair, really inspect the soles and the leather quality, if they are wrinkly return them. They really used shoddy leather even in their $300 boots. I'm going to write a blog post later tonight or tomorrow.

I'm gonna update my blog more regularly and finally get to the videos.
Tall boot sizing can be tricky because leather varies. So you can order one size and your boots may be tighter or looser. I've never taken my boots to a cobbler. I think because I ride I can break them in much quicker. But walking in your boots around the house and everywhere can help. (Just put your jeans over them and no one will notice)
Spanish Top. These boots have the Spanish top. I love this style, because I have short legs and it makes my legs look longer. But like I know Justin had them cut down because they were too tall. Plus like DizzleLA said, the straight type is more screen accurate.
It's funny all my life I was taught to clean with saddle soap and condition. Then when I got custom Dehner boots the Dehner people were like WATER!!!! This is actually a great guide on breaking in your boots and taking care of them: http://www.dehner.com/bootcare.html

Having a boot that's a tad big isn't a biggie as long as its not too big. Ideally you wanted them nice and fitted.
