Being based in the UK it may be based on our army ranks

Lance Corporal (1 stripe) and Corporal (2 stripes) both referred to verbally as just Corporal

Agreed. Also noticed when they’re practicing, and when the troopers ok Ferrix are marching they are doing it British style(arm movement and style of halt)

Finally, for the different variants of the Army trooper, that then we'll need to group for CRL, we have:

    • Army trooper- Soldier, Corporal and something between soldier and corporal. Also there is a kind of "butler" version that we se here (warning of SPOILERS in this picture) and the corporal version with headsets.
    • Army trooper with armor- Soldier, and leader (not sure about what is the grade)
    • Army trooper with armor and helmet-Soldier

Sorry if it’s the wrong thread to post, but I think the troopers with one stripe are a lance corporal. When the pilgrims show up the trooper with the white stripe is referred to as corporal, and in the previous episode he’s seen with one stripe on his tunic.

    Prisoner from Chapter 6

    Played by ?

This guy only got about 5 seconds of screen time in the background. We know almost nothing about this guy, we don't even have enough photos to make a CRL, we don't even know if he's imperial. People are assuming he's an Imperial officer because he is a prisoner of the New Republic and wears an officer tunic with a unique rank plaque , that's about it. I doubt anyone will make a CRL for this guy, but I thought I throw him into this list for fun.

I remember seeing him when i first saw the episode and immediately thought from the OD uniform and large chest plaque that he's a Resistance officer.  Was the Resistance around this early?

  4. As a staff officer-nazi, police, chef, Tarkin, communist. One Halloween had 4 people asked why I was dressed as Hitler. Which I take as an insult to my facial hair. The best I had was a police officer scream long life the empire to me and so a burn out.

As an Imperial army trooper I had one "thank you for your service," that wasn't a joke. And we had a tie fighter pilot at a parade get mistaken for bomb squad.

And idk why it posted 3 times. Admin could you please delete two of these I can't seem to.

I’m thinking Beckett for sure is his own CRL as he has way too many variations.

However the other officers generally have a common look but with variations

It may just be a CRL that has quite a few optional items/accessories such as a fur collar on the coat, the leather yugo pouch, goggles etc.

I would think the base CRL for this, looking at the common thread in the handful of officers we do see would be:

-Basic Line Officer uniform tunic and pants

    -Matching Hat

    -Riding boots

-Basic Imperial belt, but with painted buckle

-R1 or Shoretrooper belt box(s) also painted

    -Mudtrooper style chest armor

    -Line Officer Overcoat, R1 style

    -R1 style rank and dosimeters

    -olive drab scarf

    (Optional)

-correct Soviet goggles with side greeblies

    -fur collar on overcoat

-Yugoslavian M53 Pouch w Oiler pouch

-side arm with holster, open to the same options as officers have now, add the se-14?

I’m also planning on replicating Bolandin’s look.

I'd say the dosimeters and scarf also as optional since Beckett and Staz aren't wearing either, the same with the rank bar on the coat. Also I'd include a blaster rifle like the E-10 as an option. Other than that just some proper weathering, add a painted greeble to the hat, and  it seems like a pretty strait forward crl.

I agree with it being an option, and a cool one at that for a R! IN. As for the pants, that's a tough one, and I see your point, which makes sense. I am thinking though that we did not see IN's with Jodhpurs until ESB. I would think the IN officers in R1 would have the straight leg pants like the ones in ANH. Especially since this takes place right before that. Tough call on that. Maybe once the bluray comes out we can see better.

Thanks for the pics as well Kris. I can do 4 blue today if I get around to it.

I love the look of this costume. Are there any screen caps that show the pants officers with that bar/cylinder combo in R1? The only one I've seen of any staff officer type is the lieutenant from the Scarif base who has straight trousers.

    EDIT:

Shoot, no, I just looked closer and saw the back.  Zippers up the back are not allowed.  Only inside zippers, and even then only for lower level approvals.

I was interested myself, frankly, that's a shame.

    I was wondering about that

The one on the actual page don't have zippers, but the one with more details does. I'm going to send a message to the seller and see if they have solid ones.

  10. Thank you all again for the reply. Judging by the price of Hessian boots, I would have to buy the custom ones, I'm still well below their price. So I am going to talk to the cobbler and ask his opinion and what he would charge and go off of that. As to what will be more economical.

If I am understanding correctly, the main problem with them is that they are folding on the shaft? If that were fixed would they be acceptable for trooping? Are there any other alternative boots besides Hessian I should look into? And I apologize if any of these questions are repetitive or ignorant. Thank you all again for your input and advice.

  11. Thank you all for the input. I think the look of them being short and crinkled is the shaft being too tight. When I have them off they stand strait up and smooth. If they cannot be stretched more would adding a strip of leather st the back seam be acceptable? Or is that a better question to pose to the local GML?
