When I first saw who Hux was, I really thought (actor-wise) he would not be believable as a general. His age might put him more realistically at being a (Army) captain or maybe major at the most, but when I saw his performance in TFA, I knew I liked him. There are brief moments in TLJ where his behavior is somewhat in question compared to his portrayal in TFA, but I mostly get where they were going with him. I still like him, and I'm glad he kept the coat.

I left them out because I'm still not convinced they are rank connected. Gen Veers wore one in his dress uniform, but none in his battle armor. The Snowtrooper Lt wore none on his armor as well.
The only occurrence we can speculate cylinder association with rank is when Piett assumes Ozzel's same amount of cylinders upon promotion. This may simply be because he needed access to the same info Ozzel had, after taking his position.

I have to admit, I'm kind of excited to hear this. I love Game of Thrones.

That's cool. And by the way, I'm definitely not arguing if it is or isn't there. I just want to be at least 90-95% certain before I go to the seamstress.

Another small detail I believe I've noticed is the texture itself is a bit more wooly-looking (if that makes sense) than the line officer uniform. I first noticed it zooming in on the Death Star Trooper. His silhouette gave a similar appearance of when holding a military wool blanket up to the light & noticing the "fuzz" around it's perimeter.

The Color of the cuffs and the collar might also be a bit of a bronce-like color. If it moves to be more fieldgrey, it is definitly much darker and either more greenish or more brownish.

Indeed @PArmstr you are right, this color is difficult to tell. Let us all remember the scene with alle the line-officers around Tarkins conference-table: each and every uniform seems to be of a different color caused by lights, shadows and of course the renovation of the movie in 1997.

I came up with "hall walkers". lol. The working title I had in mind for a while was Death Star Officer.
Maybe we could just call them Senior NCOs since most of them looked a bit on the older side.

    btw, I love this diagram.

I do have one small concern. I don't know if i'm 100% convinced this uniform had princess seams. Most of the movie stills make the back appear pretty blank. What looks like a seam could possibly be a wrinkle. I could be wrong though.
I'm hoping for at least, a strong consensus on that before I take my material to the seamstress next week.

I'll have to share a pic of the headphones I found that somewhat match the clunky air crew phones, the one guy wears under his helmet.

I agree BJ, I vote that they be referred to as Senior NCOs, since I'm old and am would do this costume if it gets it's own CRL.

Rogue One seems to have tried to ret-con all the odd-ball uniforms from AHN into what we originally thought they were before the blue rays gave us better details.

My idea of the Hall Walker's pattern looks more like this, even though the hight of the collar has to be reduced:

By the way: does one have a different Name than "Hall Walker"? It reminds me of a certain threat behind a certain wall far in the north ....

I think you are right, Marc. I enlarged the reference and made them a little lighter. I think I can also see the princes seams. The seams look similar to the ones on the line officer tunics.

I recommend removing them for photos whenever possible, especially approval submissions. Other than that, no biggy.

Same holster. The guy who tells Vader about the rebel ships attacking had a DH-17 with the same brownish holster. They probably borrowed the Rebel Fleet Trooper holsters to use for the staff officers.
