  1. LOL! This is a terrible problem for me, too. When I had em made, I though "I'll save the seamstress some effort and skip the pockets", but I wish I hadn't. Troops may have secure areas, but while at DragonCon I need me some pockets for drinkin money! I also made the pants "costume style" with no zipper, just Velcro (ladies.......). I'm correcting that now, cause that also proved more trouble than it's worth.

  2. I figured it would be easy to find, but unless I'm looking in all the wrong p,aces, I can't find one of any decent size. So yeah, whomever has it, can we post it? Somebody is bound to have the file.

  3. The only 2 suppliers I know of in the states is the Allied Electronics and Newark Electronics.

Yeah, no joy with either. I'm going to fire off an email to them and see if they know when they will be in stock again. I just have to remember to order the yellow from the right supplier so they're clear! lol

Update: Newark is now showing that they are in stock. They weren't last night. But the yellows from Newark are wrong, is that still the case?

Yeah, if I remember right, their yellows are solid, not translucent.

  4. I was thinking about painting the nozzle metallic, and painting the rest black, except a silver metallic accent or two. I think that contrast would look nice. However, I see most Power 5's painted solid black.

Am I correct that since the sidearm is optional anyway, that such is up to individual tastes? Or is there a right and wrong way to paint this thing?

  5. Lots of work done this weekend! I did cut down two thirds of the barrel, but the Dremmel cut thru it like buttah', so that's no problem at all. I picked up a garden hose adapter at Wallyworld which was perfect for the sleeve that goes between the barrel and the nozzle, and it came with a black adapter which, when cut in half, was also perfect for the cooler module.

I found a Dewalt wet dry vac repair kit at Home Depot, and cut down a flared piece for the nozzle. I ventilated it this morning with a drill, and it looks great. Kit was like $15, and totally worth it, since I was able to use a straight piece for the sight as well.

Need to putty some gaps closed, and then I'm ready to paint. Sorry I've been slack about pix; will TTY to take some tonight!

  6. I'll see if I pass an ACE on my route for work. If I do I'll stop in and grab some.

Looks like Fizilbert is hooking me up with some. Thanks though.

Working on my Power 5 now; any wonderful 501ster still in the business of picking up 4 of these and mailing them to a brutha'? I'll Paypal the cost plus shipping and a few bus for the trouble!

These bloody things really look perfect, and are a royal pain to find!!!!!
