I have to second what has already been said - excellent work, Jon.

Mine is my Louisiana Bar Number. That's right - the Bar Association down here has issued me a card with my ID number on it 10 years before I became official. I guess the Empire DOES control the lawyers down here.

That's pretty cool. Do you know if there was any option for the top line of the badge? For example, instead of "Imperial Officer" could one have ordered it to read "Imperial Security Bureau" or something else?

Nice. I like that.

In universe -heck yeah, I'm with you 100%. Besides, in character as my ISB officer (still WIP), I would have the lot of them shot, drawn, quartered, then shot again for good measure. All on a little backwater where they "just disappeared". Additionally, the media would probably screw up the terrorist moniker, just as the real media has done here in the USA. I also would not put it past the Imperials to set up some sort of civilian disaster and frame the Rebellion for it, just to make it seem good for the court of public opinion. And, in either analysis, they are criminals - terrorist or separatist, criminal acts are still criminal acts, and should be punished as violations of the law.

The Imperial Government can call it chicken soup, for all that matters. Long and the short of it is that for a group to be terrorists, they must conduct terrorist activities. Attacking military installations is not a terrorist act. Now, if they struck something on Coruscant or any other civilian or civilian government target, then they might qualify as true terrorists. I'm looking at as an objective third party, an academic view of the situation. From that certain point of view, then the Rebel Alliance is not a terrorist organization. Freedom fighters - by their own opinion - sure. Armed rebellion, or revolutionaries - definitely. I would even go so far as to class them as a separatist movement, however, unless or until there is tangible evidence that the RA hit civilians or non-military targets, with the intent to spread terror and fear while attempting to convince the government to change the way it conducts its affairs, the RA is not a terrorist organization under any definition that currently exists.

Only problem I have with the theory espoused in the video is that it was not a terrorist activity. The Rebel Alliance is a revolutionary group that is engaged in an armed rebellion against the existing government, and, in the specific case of the Death Star, they attacked a military target, with the express purpose of engaging the Imperial military. As far as can be seen in the movies, the Rebel Alliance never targeted anything other than military targets. Therefore, they cannot be classed as a "terrorist" organization. I can provide a list of references as long as my arm to back that up. Suffice it to say that I am in grad school working on a masters in Homeland Security studies. My most recent paper was on the subject of what the definitions of terror, war, war crimes, and cries against humanity are, along with examples of each from real work scenarios. I seriously contemplated bringing Star Wars into the mix, but thought the professor would not appreciate it.

Can't wait to get this gem. Especially since the ISB is kinda like the FBI/CIA. WOuld love to wear a dark suit at a con with a blaster in a shoulder holster and this little baby on my waist.

The Disney Blogs have details up, including some of the guests and some of the merch for this year. Dates are the last two weekends in May and first two in June, again.

Sorry to see the product turned out that badly. I hope they fix it or make it right in some sort of way.
I have a seamstress locally doing my ISB, as she has done them before and been approved straight out the box on both. I'm always curious to see if there are other options out there, should I decide to do any other officer, or, if I screw up my first jacket.

Nice work on those bars, and great color matching on the paint, too. What did you use for your original bar? the push button caps?

Hey, Jimmy. I just posted over on the BAG boards. What sort of pics do you need? I have my submission pics I can send, and know 2 other ISB in BAG, plus I can point you to my seamstress.
WHatever I can do to help you out, let me know.
