  1. Hi Chris,

The ANH and ESB version of Imperial Bridge Crew are in essence the same costume. So we have some cross-over between films, and it then becomes hard to describe in a CRL. In order to achieve the specific ESB version of Imperial Bridge Crew, I would like to see the headset being worn.

    ANH/ESB - You have already [92.2] - http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/7885-ic-10531-cleared-anh-bridge-crew-executor-status-922/

    ROTJ       - You have already [92.1] - http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/7739-ic-10531-cleared-rotj-bridge-crew-executor-status-921/

ESB         - Add a headset to your ANH/ESB

Granted the headset is "optional", but the Executor award is designed to push the standards as high as we feasibly can. I would seriously encourage you to do this, so you can complete you excellent collection.

  2. Hi Chris,

I have now reviewed your request for ESB Crewman.

Although the ESB costume is exactly the same as the ANH, but has an optional headset, this optional headset is really a requirement as it sets it apart from the ANH.

e.g. the same costume shouldn't be used to cover both categories.

You have met the exacting standards for Executor for your ANH crewman, and if you can add a headset (built to the right standard), then the ESB will also be met.

    Have I explained myself correctly?

  3. Hi Don,

I have now reviewed your submission against the Executor criteria.

You are met the required standards in all areas bar the compad.

Your compad should only has two "buttons" where there should be four.

The buttons appear to be missing underneath the two circles.

Here are two screen captures of the compad, where you can see the four buttons on the crewman to the right.

Also, to improve the look, I would suggest you add stirrups to the bottom of the legs, to keep the legs nicely in the top of the boots. This is not a requirement though.

You've got a good jump suit with nice pocket placements, the belt and buckle looks spot on, and the hat and greeblie also look good.

Blacken the welts of your boots is also another suggestion, as the original Knobelbechers didn't have visible seams.

So, to summarise, change or amend your compad, and you will met the required standard.

Well done in getting this far.

  4. A salute can be many things. From the traditional right hand to right eye, to standing to attention, to lowering of flags, to bowing, and even sticking ones tongue out!

For the Star Wars world, when Lord Vader, the Emperor or even an officer walls past, all troops should "brace-up", be still, and be quiet. The reaction from the audience is fantastic!

Hand to eye saluting? Not a real fan. It's better to "tip the hat" in return, as unless you practise, it can really look silly.

  5. Remove the leg pockets that are below the knee, as this is the X-Wing flight-suit pattern, but in black.

My guess is that the compad window on your left forearm will need to be enlarged as well.

    Shoulder cogs need replacing.

Other than that, your looking good crewman!

  6. I had a badge from the second run and it was "messed-up" (and I mean that in the loosest terms).

They got the case wrong, so instead of it saying "TROOPER", it said "Trooper".

I wear mine in a leather holder around my neck when spotting, and it certainly gets some attention.

When you command people to "make way, troopers coming through" it certainly does the trick!

It took an age to get the badge from payment to delivery, but we were warned about this before we ordered.

    I love my shield!

  7. I've quickly reviewed ROTJ and I still don't see a pointed collar.

(Notice on the last picture, how the IC below and to the right of the officer has his collar tucked in... this could give the illusion of a point at the back.)

I'd love to see some proof somewhere....

  8. I have a bookmark that still seems to work.

If you have any questions, I'd be pleased to answer any that I can.

Q: Is the vision as bad as it looks?

A: No. It's far worse! But it all depends on the helmet you use. There are two schools of thought on the size of the Jaw. The big Jaw can't see anything below nose level, which is a real problem trooping (until you get used to it).
