I saw your answer I decided post it today and I will add photos in May
They will love it. . I'm going to hit the hay. It's almost 1am here. Ugh. Have to get up at 4am. So I guess sleep is suggested. But I'll be looking forward to seeing the reactions. It's going to be good!

I will post it today, if you want.
Or NVM
It's up to you. Just getting them hyped for the big drop

@Ithilnar will post it in may. It's hers to post. I would love to. But since it's not mine to do so. I defer to @Ithilnar's time table. Plus I think there will be pics with the completed form of the article.

I asked my CO about this when I was curious about the idea of down a lower ranked Thrawn. This was before the comics had come out, and there was some question about what color uniform he'd be in (I only have a line officer cleared at this point in time)
I know a lot of the lore around Thrawn centered around him being one of (if not the only) non human officer in the Empire, but I was told that since there was one, I could be a generic Chiss officer if I wanted to. I know RL holds the same views. there was one chiss jedi, so i can clear as my chiss OC.
This was just for chiss specifically, but I think the general rule, at least for my garrison, was if there was one, there could be others? That makes perfect sense. If there was one. Why not more. A Darth Vader comic called the ghost prison also has an unknown species as a officer near the end. I'll have to dig up the book and see if I can get a couple of pictures from it. So I'm with Tentayena on this. Why not?

Guys, I did the translation on the article today. And it's good. Very well written and you know the imput we gave was supportive. A salute to a great read!

I look at it like this. It's a respect thing. Most see the empire as the firm military organization everyone wants to be with. They have the Sharpe uniforms, gear and equipment to get the job done. Kind of like when you hear a guy joined the marines, he knows when he earns that uniform. Everyone who sees him in it has nothing but respect for him. It's an unspoken thing that Americans know you have to be tough to get anywhere in our military. So in these terms I present my argument for respect being a big part of why we went empire.
I spent ten years in the US army and know when someone sees you in uniform that they tend to instantly have a respect for you because of it. Lol, it's how I met most of my ex girlfriends. Sorry, I had to use my dad's old joke.

Is it wrong to assume one could do a generic grand admiral with the rebels version of the uniform since military uniforms are typically standardized?
I don't see why not. Go for it.

At the same time, we're costumers, not the actual army. We look weird anyways.
@ OP
As a general statement, It doesn't matter. It's really whatever you're comfortable with. If you have fallen in love with the white uniform, be the best Grand Admiral you can be!!
I know others have mentioned developing backstories for their officer personas, and honest to god, I think that's the best way to go. Develop your character. Give them history, mannerisms, quirks. It just makes the experience so much more FUN for you and everyone around you. This is my original statement below.
Please don't character edit it to create a rant. Please reread the bottom two lines.
Something to consider with choosing a rank is age. If you are younger, lieutenant is a youthful rank. Middle aged is commander /mid ranks. Older is general, admiral ect. This is based off of experience in the army. You star at the bottom and work your way up. It's like seeing a 25 year old general or admiral in a movie. It looks weird. Does that make sense? And I'm not knocking anyone for wanting to be any rank specifically. Just life experience.
I get people don't like me for being honest with them. But I'm not saying someone can't do anything they want. Just applying experiences I have with what I seen. That does not mean you have to approve of a personal view either. You can not like it, That's fine. But please use the full quote. It makes it seem like you are targeting someone on a false basis. Or going for character assassination. That's not cool.

Yeah 27 and a Grand Admiral is slightly unbelievable, until you consider how the Empire works. Know the right people, kiss the correct boots etc.
True. In the new comic series Darth Vader. Larita Thom is promoted to admiral from lt. So just as they fall

More visual appearance options for multiplayer?Yes, I saw that a while back. I'm basically a troll on battlefront stuff. The next hero is supposed to be anikin / anikin Vader. But we will see what they do.

Yup. Digitally aging and deaging is a weird thing. But the did good in guardians of the Galaxy 2 with Kurt Russell.
-
Yeah, it's not all that great. It went rebel fast. I was disappointed. But now multi player is fixed some. Leveling is changed. It's no longer a pay to win system.

apologies for the delay. been collecting a lot of what has been missing. the cadet/midshipman ranks seen in recent comics. The moff rank from Revenge of the Sith and a few others.
It's all good. I just want to share the correct knowledge with the Ohio Garrison. Especially those working towards an IOC costume.

PDF would be best. I am planning on sharing it via the Ohio garrison. And thanks again.

Little something I have been working on. It is a lot bigger than this. Something that can track every permutation, if we have seen it on screen, where, EU, book, comic, etc. What we know, what think, what we can prove.
Robert did you ever get a finalized version of this? There have been a lot of guys in the Ohio Garrison and the rebel Legion in our area that were asking about the ranks today. And if it's complete if it's okay I would like to post it to the Ohio ears enclosed page for Members Only so that they can see the rank status of every one of us that's wandering around in uniform. Might help them out a little bit. Thanks advance man!

We just wrapped up for the day at the gym City Comic Con. We have another day tomorrow. Kind of exhausted so I don't think I'll work on it tonight but I'm hoping to do some underlying cords and cables to even that nice cool look underneath it and then do a gray outer top, then kind of Grey up some of the outer shell areas. The unfortunate thing is it won't look exactly like the Battlefront 2 turret. But it's really meant for blast Trooper anyway.
-
Ok, so I have to nix bringing in the "turret" Saturday. I have other things to bring in. And will be working the booth area all day with Bat as a secondary.
-
Lol true.
-
I'll look after work for one.
* It will not be exactly as the game. Mine if for blast a trooper. So it will have handles for a shooter to use.
